I grew up listening to Ciara, and I truly am proud of her growth as an artist as well as a woman. Her music has always given me motivation to dance. I am constantly reminded of how my younger self would dance to her music based on my (eight year old) interpretation, so you can already tell it was a mess, and I would be so into the music that I would be exhausted by the end. This song is similar to US songs from early 2000s. Early K-Pop was very similar to US and UK pop songs from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The vocals in this song are a (fast motion sample) from "I want to dance tonight" by Lucy Pearl. Early K Pop resembles many of the old popular and semi-popular groups like Sweet Sensation, Five Star, Brooke Allison, Destiny Child, Janet Jackson, TLC, Spice Girl, Back Street Boys, Pussycat dolls, Willa Ford, Dream, etc. Especially the semi-popular groups like Danity Kane, Cover Girls, Brooke Allison, Willa Ford, Mya and Dream. Every single song by Dream would be a current K-Pop lol. You all should review old songs by Dream and Willa Ford. The dancing, bright candy-colored clothing, and music were very old school Pop before K-Pop. Now, K-Pop is very similar to old Beyonce, Missy Elliott, and other older hip hop/pop artists. It appears that hip hop is now more prevalent in K-pop. What was old is new again. I love that K-pop helps me remember many older simi-popular singers and groups that the US slept on back in the day.
