What, Jhope is the Dance/Performance Leader. We need to do better at phtting respect on his name for that specifically. And I don't like how you seemed to be trying and not give him his credit, because we all know it is Hobi that does the biggest parts of the things you just mentioned. Yes, Jimin helps too, but seriously, let's do better at giving our Dance Leader his props, you know Cause he definitely deserves it. Even Jimin, himself, along with every other member agree that Jhope is the top person when it comes to rehearsals, dance practice, etc.....

Jhope and Jimin both make sure the choreo is on point. Jimin tends to add the special touches to the choreo. The hat trick, the kiss on the hand, the positioning of them on stage etc. Jimin trained in all forms of dance. His chosen speciality is contemporary dance. He is the Black Swan. Martha Graham the founder of contemporary dance said that if a dancer loses his/her passion for dance it would be their first death. So, imagine Aqua losing your passion for music, lyricism or even your passion for life.

​@@mev9752Dance leader is not and has never been an official position, it's a form of appreciation like the golden maknae, given by the members and later adopted by the fandom because before Jimin joined at last, Jhope was the only dancer in the team so he used to help the other members with their choreographies, and has continued to do so. But ever since Jimin joined, he has been doing the same. Jhope and the other members have said the same about Jimin multiple times as well. The official position is that of the main dancer, and BTS has always had two main dancers. They also have an entire team of choreographers and performance directors with them.

@ nah , you are totally wrong, the dance leader is actually a position, you don’t have to be an expert to know , it’s to be in charge that everyone looks like an actual team and if it’s now posible then add to it. Jimin does what he can do but he is not good in handling a team , now he improve in that cuz of his experience with BTS but before , no one to be found that’s why he got cut a lot of times, cuz of dancing was his suppose main skill he have to be the best as a team and he wasn’t, he was more of a soloist. The experience of jimin is to always be the attraction so to success even in a team cuz is a individual competition on those schools meanwhile jhope have competitions as team and individual. And again is not just the team is the whole performance , which include the stage ( the size , material ) , extras , etc. That’s why jhope want to be a performance director in the future cuz he is being doing that as a direct follower of their performance director, like teacher and student situation. While jimin, he can add elements that he knows and see that are require but he isn’t in the top of that, that’s why he still get it wrong the tempo at times and asked jhope if it stills looks ok, etc. Jhope even directed his loola show and probably his future concerts. Jimin just got some of that with his solos ( like everyone else ) and with the butter performance where he struggle a lot , where you even see RM helping him. It not the end of the world agreeing that jimin isn’t the best on that, he is human and have his flaws too just like jhope too. But what you always see them looking for jhope approval or jhope marking the tempo in any practice , why since the beginning he is the one who give the time to practice and rest that even made a lot of the members like RM and jin dislike jhope. Bruh why jhope is like the second leader after RM , the BTS performance results , you like it or not came from jhopes diligence. And he and the rest of them and the team knows that. Only people like you don’t see it yet. But it’s fine, at the end they just want you to enjoy the show.

Both Jimin and Jhope are the main dancers of BTS, Jhope is also known as the dance leader as a form of appreciation for helping out the other members with their choreographies, since their debut as he used to be the only trained dancer before Jimin joined at last, six months before their debut. Since then noth Jimin(who's also referred as the Dance Teachers at times) and Jhope helps out the other members with their choreographies, plays integral role as the main dancers of the group. BTS and the members do have an entire team of choreographers, and performance directors.

As a dancer, I love this song sm. Specifically, the inspiration from the quote "a dancer dies twice, the first is when they stop dancing" and I really felt that. I had to stop dancing for personal reasons and it felt like I was in this sort of depressive state- I wasn't actually depressed but I wasn't happy. It's like life was passing by before my eyes and I was only watching, no longer experiencing it. I felt like a phoenix rising from the ashes when I started dancing and performing again after years of not being able to.

Just so you know, Black Swan is actually about a ballet dancer and is a very emotional story. That's why a lot of the dance is very ballet and interpretive. I do suggest reading that to maybe understand the song and video even more. 😊 It's also great to read about it for your own inspirations. 😊

So Black Swan is one of BTS's most artistic music videos along with some other ones and it describes their fears with shadows in the background while exploring their own thoughts in this setting and with their fears if their artistic lives are lost which would explain Suga's lyrics in the beginning and his shadow is his fears in the background. If you wanna dive deep into their artistic storyline, check out the WINGS album with their solo songs and do them in each order so you would understand the context. They also have a deep storyline in their Most Beautiful Moment in Life albums with the struggles of youth and the art that is presented. Love Yourself album and Map of the Soul: 7 albums also have some storylines in it as well, and Film Out which is a japanese song by them and the music video is another story. BTS, they have a lot of stories and in their solo albums they would go down to a lot of deep meanings about themselves and they paint their own struggles and hardships by using music as art to explain their own personalities.

Black swan is about the fear of an artist losing their love for their art.. Their songs always have a deeper meaning. Another thing is yes, they do have a choreographer and Jhope usually learns first then teachs it to the other members, he's the dance leader meaning he always prepares and makes sure everyone is on point for concerts, music shows, mvs, things like that! Jimin also makes sure they're on point but I wouldn't say as much as Jhope but he does help a lot

Hey Dudes! It makes me so happy to watch reaction videos by newbies to this genre. BTS is my fav group but I have been into Kpop for over 14 years and when I first started to get into it nobody in my circle knew anything about it. I was given weird looks whenever I would talk about or share videos. Even my kids though I was strange. Now Kpop and especially BTS are known all over the world by people of all ages and all walks of life. Keep on enjoying your trip down the Kpop rabbit hole. I would like to recommend you branch out to other groups in this genre like Stray Kids and Ateez. There are also may girl groups you might like. Oh and by the way, I'm a 64 year old women💜. Peace.

The black swan theory is a metaphor that describes an event that comes as a surprise and has a major effect.. .There was a film called Black Swan that uses the ballet 'Swan Lake' as a vehicle for this theory. BTS uses this, the film/ballet and the words of Martha Graham (a choreographer) -- “A dancer dies twice, once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful” ... Bangtan used this idea but changed the focus to their own concerns about losing the passion for their work as singers/rappers/writers/producers/dancers

That was his debut as a soloist and when he performed it live during his solo tour last year, I lost my mind (was lucky enough to have been there in Newark, NJ when Jimin was in the crowed). Did you notice they are all barefoot in the MV? I love Black Swan. It is even better live. Both J-Hope and Jimin had several years of dance experience prior to joining Big Hit. J-Hope was in a dance crew in his hometown of Gwangju (Neuron was the dance crew's name and also the name of one of his songs from his HOTS Vol. 1 album that came out in March 2024). He does a lot of freestyling but can really do just about any type of dance. Can you also please do a reaction to Mic Drop and Danger dance videos . They are very good. Also a must is MAMA 2019 award show. These are all so good.
