Both good covers! It feels like Minnie's juste extra sad while Jessica's is more "upbeat". Like Minnie is singing after heartbreak and Jessica is singing to a lover. It wouldn't have surprised me if she smiled at the end. I think Minnie's suit the message of the song a little better.

Minnie's voice is better, no contest. There's a warmth to it that makes the song soulful and intimate. It's also much closer to what the original sounds like. I've been a Sara Bareilles fan since 2008 and I can say Minnie did the song much more justice. The other version seems way too extra and changed the arrangement too much.
