Bonvoyage is a love letter & goodbye message to Mother Nature. "I Love You" in the lyrics is not for a person, but Mother Nature.

It can actually be looked outside the apocalypse theme, and it will still be perfect as a love song towards a person. I mean, they didn't put any words related to Mother Nature in the song, so reading the lyrics without the context of the apocalypse trilogy can easily make this about a person. I'll stick with the intended meaning though, since no one else talks about Mother Nature enough than Dreamcatcher.

I saw they saying that the "Bon voyage" is meant to be for the mother nature, but if you want can also be for someone you care. To wish them a bon voyage and a good rest. So, I think can be the same for the "I love you" part.

This is the conclusion to the Apocalypse trilogy. The whole series has a kind of environmentalist message. This is my interpretation, but I like to think of Dreamcatcher as humanity and “you” in the lyrics as the world. They’re basically saying, “I love you, but I realize I am not good for you and you probably resent me. Therefore, I will leave so that you can move on and become better”.

I like this - kind of a "I love you enough to let you go" message. Also, I think at the end of the trilogy storyline, the earth is in rebirth, so they can take the protective shield down that they set up in Vision.

a bit of context to help you understand where Dreamcatcher is with this song🤭✨ (sorry for any mistakes I may have in my English, it's not my natural language) as you already know at this point in kpop they work a lot with concepts in continuation, they choose a particular theme and expand on it in each of their comebacks. Dreamcatcher generally uses trilogies to tell the chosen theme in three parts (obviously :v) so this latest bonvoyage release is the conclusion of their latest trilogy "Apocalypse" where they talk about the environment, the previous ones were Maison and Vision, where (quick explanation) in the first part they talk about the damage that humans do to the earth and it is like a cry for help, in the second part everything is more apocalyptic and the damage already done and of no return is seen much more clearly than the earth suffer and finally Bonvoyage is a farewell to earth, that's why it has a more melancholic sound and clearly during the choreography you can see the mixture of emotions on the faces of the girls, it's like saying goodbye remembering how good it was but with regret in the heart for not being able to do more to help. Of course, there will be other details out there, but I think this helps you understand the context a little more. I also recommend you always watch the MVs in the order in which they came out in order to understand not only the stories told, but also the reason for the sound of each song that is (in my opinion) the most important thing✨

In the Showcase they stressed that bon voyage is not goodbye, it refers to a temporary separation, and that such separations are often needed for rejuvenation. The critter is a cell or a seed - I've seen it referred to as Celly.

The floating pod/cell , concept wise probably represents the heart of nature/earth/seed of life. ( which looks to me to be very inspired by EVE from the WALL-E movie ). Theory wise people seem to think its Siyeon because they think she sacrificed herself protecting SuA which makes sense but only if you disregard alot of elements from the MV. Personally i think it represents InSomnia always being there with them, no matter what they do or where they go, like the "8th member" of the group.

this song is a love letter to nature. to me, it feels like them saying that we fucked up really bad, but we can try to turn it around. it's why there's this line about how we're at a crossroad, sua said the fluffy thing is a seed, the bittersweet tone of the song, it all points in that direction. they're wishing farewell to their old habits and embracing a new start, where we actually care about our planet. there's also a constant butterfly motif, and butterflies are a common sign for rebirth. there's a lot of symbolism is the video, I could write a whole essay on iit tbh. like how dami managed to summon the seed, but only after admitting how horrible and selfish we've been, and how we regret it, because you can only change when you see your mistakes. I love that you can also interpret it as generally accepting that you have to let go of someone you love. it feels really peaceful, yet harrowing and strong, kinda like the acceptance stages of grief or the end of a wonderful relationship that had run it's course. it's for sure one of, if not my favourite title track by them. it's an impeccable comeback, the vocals and the instrumental pack such an emotional punch, the visuals are beautiful and yet sad. just incredible. dreamcatcher never disappoint.

I love the theory I’ve seen InSomnias saying that Bon Voyage is like a goodbye letter to Earth to complete the saga where the “you” the girls are singing about is supposed to be nature. However! I think the girls represent Nature/Earth and they are saying goodbye to humanity. And how the vicious circle of hurting someone you love by accident is finally broken with the final goodbye. I know Sua said it was also about how sometimes you need to part ways to heal and I think that also really fits well.

A lot of people are feeling a nostalgic vibe from this release instrumental-wise, and I totally agree. If you like this then you should start back from the beginning with Chase Me. Plus the whole nightmare concept was really fun!

Among Dreamcatcher's songs, there is a song that changes genre 6 times within 1 minute. But, I didn't know that. It's a song called 'BEcause'. Also, listen to the songs 'PROPOSE' and 'Break the Wall'. Really good. There are many harder songs and various genres in their tracks.

They just went all emotional in this one :'D when they do it they get you with their nostalgic feeling but still with some rock elements, I loved this song. Yes, they're tied 2nd for girl group with number of albums ranked #1 on the Worldwide itunes charts with 5 albums. For me this song gives hope for the future while making our past experience as the foundation for our future to grow,learn to love ourselves and people around us, the image of broken buildings are our past selves and how some of us makes mistakes or our trauma on how it crumbled us and our surroundings and our environment and the flowers growing out of these crumble building indicates that from these experiences we can still grow out like a beautiful flower have a safe journey for our future and not forget our past and use our past experiences to build a foundation for our better future self to grow and flourish....I mean thats what I got anyway
