Jere’s level of authenticity and vulnerability is so refreshing. The way he talks about his feelings, especially anxiety, is so healing to me, cause I grew up in a home where feelings were bottled up. Quite common in the older generation in Finland. I’m millenial as is Jere, and it makes me proud that our generation is leading the way to healthier emotional expression. He’s amazing role model for the kids today. 💚

@Zazazozo Finland was under Sweden's rule for a really long time and we had to fight tooth and nail in order to gain independence. Because of this history, Sweden has been treating us finns as secondary citizens to this day and often remark we're still "basically part of Sweden" anyway, or that we should be. The world has painted this relationship as a cute sibling rivalry type of deal, but it's more akin to the golden child constantly demeaning, putting down and outshining the younger sibling. I have Finnish relatives and multiple acquaintainces living in Sweden and the discrimination they mention is ridiculous. A distant cousin's father regularly apologizes for his daughter that he cursed her with a Finnish surname that causes her so much bullying and grief. We even feel it in our own homeland - many jobs require you to know swedish and the majority of the swedish-speaking population in Finland blatantly refuses to learn a lick of our language despite living here. The amount of times I've personally seen swedish people throwing a fit bc a cashier isn't able to help them in fluent Swedish is ridiculous. Sweden winning any contest against us essentially just gives them more ammo and reason to believe they're better than us. Of course, not all Swedes think this way. Many probably don't have any clue at all. And to be clear, I don't hate Sweden or Swedes, I don't hate Loreen, she deserves the best. This is just an unfortunate fact I too had to learn the hard way.
@vladd896 Жыл бұрын
@@ceediculous1842oh wow I'm surprised to learn it's still a thing. Btw weren't Finland fighting independence from Russia? Cause after Swedish rule there were another century of Russian rule. To me being from Ukraine I always thought that Finland is cool with all their neighbours except Russia, and Sweden always tries to picture themselves as the most tolerant country in Europe...

Words can't describe how proud i am to be Finnish. This man has brought so much joy to me and MILLIONS of other people too. Jere has a pure heart and he's the most genuine person i have ever seen. He united the whole Europe with his song, and makes everyone forget everything bad for a second. People like him make me believe that there is still good left in this world. He might of been the second runner up, but he won something better than a trophy- he won peoples hearts. He got everyone screaming Cha Cha Cha- in the arena, in the livingrooms and in the market places of finnish citys. Everyone was so proud of him, and will be for a long long time. He will become a eurovision legend, and forever he will be remembered, not the winner of the jury, but the winner of the people. He had the dancers, the brand, the color, the hair and the phrase "It's crazy, its party" which made him such an icon. He was everybodys friend and supporter, and that man was always smiling. He was always himself, and everybody loved him for that! I just want to say that you made so much history, and you gave people something to be proud of. You gave people a reason to smile, and to dance! 💚❤🩹

Watching this three part documentary has made me realise how much stress and pressure these artists go through in the lead up to the contest, as well as the weight of pressure added when you are a favourite to win. Although Jere was tired, he handled the crowds, press and pressure well, which in turn I think is why he was so beloved. Despite his on stage persona, he has a rawness to him and a vulnerability which makes him humble, modest and relatable. It seems like he loves performing but he also likes being away from crowds (as an October baby myself, I can relate to this). He is a beautiful soul and a legend within Eurovision history. I absolutely love the support he received from his fellow peers - and I am deeply saddened to see how disappointed he was for not winning the contest. But like Verka, all these years later, still an icon and has dwarfed the actual winner - so too will be the case with Kaarija. This will go down in history as one of the best and most beloved entries of the contest. I wish you nothing but the best moving forward - I am upset that I wont be seeing these lovely videos with your peers and beloved Bojan, but I am looking forward to seeing your growing success post contest and in the years to come.

I was there there evening when you released your video on UMK KZbin. If even woke up my wife to listen to it because I knew you were going to win. I was in Turku during the live broadcast. I was also in Liverpool. All to support you. This humble guy from Vantaa. Today in Helsinki airport I saw the cool billboards for Käärijä. I have seen the small village in Ivalo changing their Inari logo for you, like many other small villages and big cities did. I am not a native Fin, I just work in your beautiful country, but now I surely feel like one. Everyone is singing our Finnish song! Everyone all over Europe and the world! You are the best ambassador for Finland we have every had. A few weeks ago my wife and I lost our son. He struggled with life. He was shy and didn't dare to "enter the dance floor of life". He was finally getting better with the professional help, but his recent diagnose was unbearably for him. This made that your song gave a totally different meaning to us. We hoped that he could have gotten to the second phase of your song. At the end of this video you said: "I will not do it again". Just a wake up call for you Jere. You will be invited to each and every party related to ESC all over Europe. Your song will continue to life for decades. It is legendary. You are the real winner of the public and this will not be forgotten. We will continue to tell you to submit a new song and one day you will that this victory.

Sorry for my English. I'm not from Finland, but I was very supportive of cha cha and I was very worried and very upset when you didn't win. But it doesn't matter because you won not only in my heart but in the hearts of millions of people. People from Finland should be proud of this man. Thanks for the emotions. I'm glad that Finland has Käärijä

The way he handled that is the opposite of being a bad loser. He's incredible, so honest and mature. Love a man who takes time to process and comprehend his emotions!

Thank you so much for this video! 💚 In some ways this was better than watching eurovision itself. Such an interesting documentary of what goes on behind the scenes. The sad, stressed and tense parts, with the happy, silly and joyous parts, all of this gives such dimension and context to the eurovision, and it is such a fascinating scenario too with one of the most authentic people ive ever seen on television. We all rooted for him, we all loved his energy, and now we experienced a bit of the psychological burden and celebration he did that day. What an insightful video to one of the most memorable exiting times we experienced together with almost the whole world 🎉💚💚💚💚💚💚

I've been crying for two days now. And not because he's lost, but because he's so amazing! He radiates love, and kindness and hope, and he makes the world a better place! It's just a stupid piece of glass, really. We should just forget it and move on already, together with our brightest star - Käärijä - to guide us throgh the darkness into the better tomorrow. Käärijä, we love you! 💚💚💚

Without wanting to offend Loreen, I want to say that I'm already tired of these monotonous songs "just for Eurovision". They are absolutely faceless, do not remain in memory and do not carry anything new. Like her song Euphoria in 2012 and Tattoo in 2023, one is indistinguishable from the other. Käärijä is a real artist who experiments, creates something new. That's why the audience chose Cha cha cha. Käärijä olet paras! Rakkaudella Venäjältä.
@user-ek1fy2ny4t Жыл бұрын
To be fair Euphoria is one of the greatest Eurovision songs of all time. It definitely sticks in the memory. It changed the competition forever, which is why I think so many people have loved her since then. Kaarija's song was definitely more unique this year. I loved them both.
