ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕಲೆಯೆಂದರೆ ಹೀಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಸಮಾಜ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂತರಂಗದ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಬಹು ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ. ಇಂತಹ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳು ಈಗಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ವಿರಳ.

The old man was expected to act like Gandhi and not be like Gandhi. By identifying himself with the character of Gandhi, he got into endless problems losing everything in the end. This symbolically tells the innumerable hurdles one faces while trying to walk in the footsteps Gandhi, which goes on to show how irrelevant Gandhi’s ideals like truth, non-violence, Communal- harmony, self-control etc., have become in today’s market-driven, consumerist society of ours. It is one more wonderful film by G. Kasaravalli, the committed film makerand a master in exploring the contradictions and complexities at different levels of human existence. The producers deserve praise for making such thought-provoking films.

Background music adbuthavagide. First time when I listened to it, I could relate it with "Tum Hi Ho" song from Aashiqi 2 movie. Girish Kasaravalli's direction beyond Kannada Industry's limits. I have seen almost every movie directed by this legend starting from Ghatashradha and every movie gets me completely involved into it.
