Had the pleasure of seeing Rolling Quartz live when they came to Otakon in the US and they absolutely rocked the house! I'm a huge Insomnia and have been following Rolling Quartz since their debut, I was super stoked when they first announced this official rendition of 'Good Night'. They seriously nailed it and it sounded fantastic live! One of my favorite original songs of theirs was 'Sing Your Heart Out', it makes for a really great closing song for the set where the audience sings along with a bunch of anthemic "wooah's" just like in Dreamcatcher's 'Reason'.

"Sing Your Heart Out" is not an original song as far as I know, I believe it's a Crying Nut cover.

I think my favourite songs from them are "Rock & Roll Paradise" and "Azalea", even though it's a cover. "Blaze" is not bad either.

People who do covers well are great. They manage to do it in their own style, but still have it recognizable as the original. These ladies do it wonderfully. I love their own songs just as much. Do more of them. And yes. They do pinch a few hairs while headbanging & playing guitars.

Happy to see you enjoyed Rolling Quartz. I really like them, though I wish they had more songs. I love DC, but personally I gotta give Goodnight to Rolling Quartz, their cover is great. My favorite of their original songs is probably Holler, so I'd recommend that. But I think they currently only have like 6 non-covers, so you could get through a chunk of them. I've been watching some small korean YT channels that post local rock concerts and in older videos you can actually basically watch as the group slowly comes together. It's neat being able to see a band kind of form like that.

They're great. At this point my everyday playlist is 80% Band-Maid, Dreamcatcher and Rolling Quartz. I think the Rolling Quartz version of Good Night has gone beyond a simple cover and must have some kind of licensing behind it--they have a full MV for it and it's on one of their albums. I'm sure other people will chime in on the various trivia linking RQ to DC. I'd classify most of RQ's originals as hard/punk/pop-rock, but their latest, Nazababara, leans more to the pop side with the different vocal technique you mentioned.
