Decklist- tappedout.net/mtg-decks/krrik...
I'm incredibly late with this video (I started working on the deck and video before K'rrik was released), but work has been way too busy for the last half a year and I haven't had the time or energy to finish this video until recently, so hopefully it is still relevant. The decklist in the video is a little outdated, importantly there is no Arcane Signet in the video, an obvious inclusion, so I'd encourage you to check out my tappedout decklist for a more updated version of the deck.

I'd actually cut ad nauseum for peer into the abyss since it can function like doomsday in the sense of you losing half your life rounded up

Great video! Perhaps you could swap viscera Seer with carrion feeder. They functionally do the same thing, allowing you to sacrifice a creature repeatedly. However, Carrion Feeder is part of a separate combo with Gravecrawler if you happen to have Aetherflux Reservoir (or tendrils of agony) and K'rrik. on the field. This let's you have you have an A combo: Doomsday, cycle/ cantrip, Infernal Contract, Sacrifice, Mikaeus, Ballista, Carrion Feeder. B combo: aetherflux Reservoir, carrion feeder, gravecrawler, K'rrik (on field) C combo: aetherflux Reservoir, Bolas's Citadel, sensei's divining top, K'rrik (on field) This let's you have a plan B that only costs adding two cards to the deck, aetherflux Reservoir and gravecrawler, and will subsequently net you a very large K'rrik and carrion feeder if the opponents stop the Aetherflux Reservoir. The Plan C only costs adding two more cards, Bolas's Citadel and sensei's divining top if you already have plan B in the deck. In my experience I find this very effective when casting something like peer into the abyss or necropotence. Odds are, you'll hit one of these combos, while adding robustness against those pesky blue players and their forces of will.

Took the like button out to dinner, and proceeded to smash. I would've like to see a "commanders you dont want to sit across from" slide as a these guys will give you trouble. For example: Selvala, Explorer Returned makes doomsday a bad play. Otherwise, another high quality video.

Where can I find the tables at that you created? I'd like to have those on hand in a pinch.

Personally, I have them written down in my phone. I should write them in my description on the tappedout page for the deck. I'll make a tab for it in the tappedout description when I get the chance, so it's easy for people who watch this video to access. Thanks for the comment.

Nice deck tech.. I run a casual K'rrik but with many of the same tutors... very helpful. Curious if you have thought of including Pharika's Libation for enchantment removal or is it too weak for CEDH?

From the aspect of another cedh player I mean that is weak considering now that feed the swarm is a thing now maybe without feed the swarm then I'd say it depends on the meta
@commandergoose2093
@commandergoose2093 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah Feed the Swarm is definitely a much more playable card. Another card I see other decks run is Blast Zone to deal with artifacts and enchantment, but I don't see it being fast enough for CEDH. When I made the deck I just accepted the fact that I was running mono-black, so I wouldn't be able to deal with artifacts and enchantments, but Feed the Swarm as changed that.

There is a much more efficient way to perform the doomsday pile using the cards Ransack the Lab + Victimize + Mikaeus + Triskelion but you need to sacrifice 1 creature for Victimize

I was thinking of making an updated version of this deck, which would include the newer combos that weren't known when I first created the decklist when K'rrik was spoiled. It completely changes how the deck works, and Peer into the Abyss seems to have been a major new addition to the deck that changes a few things.

The shadowborn one is obvious but I like my almost CEDH drain and gain with krikk. Way more effective than vito. You can turn 1 bolas citadel! Lol or any 3 and less colorless then black cost card.

If I had to choose something, I'd swap infernal Darkness with Jeweled Lotus. While infernal Darkness ( and contamination for that matter) are very good at hosing your opponents, it isn't something that expedites the wincon itself. These cards are especially good at preventing pesky blue players from countering your win-con, however, it's important to consider that the scope of this video is for CEDH. A competitive level blue player is likely going to use zero cost counter magic on your ad nauseam/doomsday combo. Consider the group you're playing against. If it's full of mana rocks and zero cost counter magic, this might be a good substitute, making a Turn 1 K'rrik more consistent. (as often as you see people get a turn 1 sol ring lol)

Considering that most cedh lists are around 5 to 7 grand yes. That's about how much a cedh yisan or selvala would cost to build
@commandergoose2093
@commandergoose2093 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, unfortunately. Personally I don't run Imperial Seal, since it's about $600 and isn't on the reserved list, so it's not worth wasting all that money on a card, who's value will crash once there's a reprint. I'm going to wait for it to be reprinted, like what they did with Grim Tutor. Not using Imperial Seal takes a decent chunk of money off the overall price of the deck.
