im 29 this year, and ive been raised on hip for nearly 3 decades. The stuff kids listen to today is just awful, mumble rappers, rainbow gangsters etc..and the rest with autotune...music lost the last of its integrity along time ago, thanking the hip hop overlords for golden tapes like these.

EPMD, K-Solo, The Hit Squad - they went hard in the paint with their bumrushing and bragging lyricism which was on point. Beastin shit. New York was really bustin moves in the day. So was the city of Brooklyn, although more gutter. And make that the New York/Brooklyn statistical area period, which meant Pike County, PA, Trenton, Patterson, Morris County, Greenwich, Yonkers, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Mount Vernon, Bridgeport.

I'm in this video. They filmed it in Chicago at Lincoln Park High School on the North Side in 1990. They let all the dance majors and drama majors be in it, and they paid us $5 each! lol. I'm the tall white kid in the back of the classroom with the black t-shirt on, and you can see they go past my "Game" tag on the chalkboard at 0:51 second in. You can also see clearly a Seiko CWT tag right after that, he was a pretty up writer in town at the time, plus you can see a clear P-Lee throwie in the chalkboard, he was an old school cat in the graf scene. I'm not positive, but I think one of the skaters is this guy Stevie Dread, a well known skater in Chi, who had two bands, Ungh! and Crunch-O-Matic (both here on YT).
