DMX Had that style, I battled him back in 1989 in Nepperhan Community Center. He was in there with this girl we both knew named Diane. I had My red "MC Automatic" Fishermen hat on. He seen it and asked "did I Rap" I said yeah and he said " Did I wanna Battle?" This is the style he beat me with ( That Spell bound style).. My Boy Randy said I won, but we was in his hometown, I was just passing through for( 2 yrs) I lived in a group home on Pine st, Up the Hill... Love Y.O though .. Without taking any sides on a personal level, it really seems like the IDEA for spellbound at least partially came from his interaction with DMX. I don't think DMX actually wrote the lyrics to Spellbound, but definitely inspired the style of spelling rhymes for K Solo. In a way, they're BOTH right from their point of view. DMX definitely feels like he gave the IDEA for Spellbound to K Solo, and Solo definitely feels like HE wrote the actual song, which to HIM means DMX had nothing to do with it. In the end, i think it would have been a good idea for K Solo to give credit for the IDEA to his interaction with DMX. Nobody would take credit away from him for Spellbound since he wrote it. This isn't an argument about who is better, because it's clearly DMX.

I love & respect both rappers because before anything else they are iconic hip-hop artists from the 90's. It seems that is popular belief that DMX came up with the style and K-Solo used the rap style as a gimmick for SPELLBOUND which he wrote himself. That's prolly why he failed question 8 on the lie detector test. Also, DMX says in his book that he battled K-Solo in jail and K-Solo asked he if he could used that style but my thing is DMX actually wrote this in his book and X doesn't come off as a straight liar like that and to put a lie like that in his book would be CRAZY. I used to believe myself that they both prolly had the style at the same time but K-Solo came out first. After having a couple a hood debates, I went out to research who was lying until I heard a homemade cassette tape of DMX doin that SPELLBOUND flow back in the late 80's. X even went at Mary J.Blige in a diss rhyme exposing certain things about her, I was shocked! So after hearing these tapes, I guess X aint lying. Now as for a fight, I woulda paid to see that shit!! K-Solo boxes and X was just a wild street n*gga so that woulda something to see!!

There was NO question asking K Solo if he came up with the spellbound style of rapping. If it were, that mother^$$$ would have failed.

Bro I know Goons down wit RR and I know X is real. I grew up with Solo and honestly he was spittin spelling Rhymes wit me and Murray before he got locked up so I can't say if what he was doing was influenced by his interactions with X in jail.
