I completely remember this performance on TV and how popular this song was on the radio. They played it all the time, due to all the requests from fans. Well done KT, well done.

This woman was the total package. She wrote fantastic songs, sang them like a grown woman and looked amazing doing it. The fact that she come on the scene in her 40s made her even more appealing. She wasn't pretentious and was humble about her accomplishments. Unfortunately, she was another heartbreaking casualty of 2020, but, boy, did she leave behind some great music, videos and memories from my youth.

OMG This is probably my favorite song of hers. I'm honestly saddened to hear of her passing today from complications from Parkinsons. She was a lovely woman, though not in the way the industry considered it. Her voice was lovely and she had great range.

I heard KT for the first time ever when I came back from an overseas job in 1990. I felt an immediate connection. She was like what it would be on opening a puzzle and without any hesitation or delay, I could put all the pieces together in an instant! Her music still gives me comfort and a peace that is beyond compare. Thank you, KT. ❤ ... RIP! 🎉 I showed the video version of Hold Me to my ESL conversation class years later, and let me say, the song got them to talking non-stop. And, why not? Her song meant something special to everyone, one way or another! 😊

I was a 13 year old boy who hadn’t seen his father since I was 5. My mom got me a bus ticket up to see and (essentially meet my dad). A lot of this was totally strange. The FIRST thing I noticed in my dad’s little studio was the radio with antennas. It was playing a Missoula Montana country radio station and this song played, at the time I was dealing with a bullshit teenage heartbreak. Something about this song. Still on my playlist after all this. I look back now 15 years later on the awkwardness of bonding with the man that wasnt really that bad and I laugh about the girl I thought I would always be with. Boy do things change. RIP KT

Jealousy was involved. A new act especially at her age wasn't supposed to make it. Sorry Nashville you couldn't stop this one. K. T. was a powerhouse like no other singer I have seen, with the exception, of Marty Robbins. Both singers kicked down doors instead of knocking on them, to get what they deserved.

SueSnell is dead on! Few stop me in my tracks like KT did and still does 25 years later. Everybody has opinions, I respect that. And mine she is on a class few ladies will experience. Such passion, and composure she makes you feel in every note. She has the voice to do anything she wanted to do with it. But that's not what makes a great artist, its knowing when not to do it. That's excellence in creativity, composure and delivery. Mending the note & delivery to the words that to the message,

I am so happy she came back. Beautiful woman in and out. Fell in love with her from the beginning. She kind of disappeared for awhile. Rumor has it that she was gay and country music didn't go for that. Even if it were true who's business it other than hers and her partner Doesn't have a thing to do with her talent. Glad for what ever reason she hung in there and made a big comeback. It would be a shame if we missed out on her talent. She is by far one of the best. Love you, keep it up sweet lady.
@rebeccawoods18924 жыл бұрын
For the record, K.T. wasn't gay. She had many relationships, but just never could seem to find the right man and in her own words.. marriage was something she never felt she'd be good at. As for her music, I became a fan the moment she came on the scene. K.T. and her talent was so special and imo, can never be matched. It breaks my heart she's gone 😢 But she'll never be forgotten!!!

Gay, he'll no! Just because she didn't have a constant man by her side, married or divorced many times doesn't mean she's gay. People can be cruel, jealous and sickos.
@erinvaughan61553 жыл бұрын
Not sure. Her reasoning for never marrying was that her mother had been married 4 times. K.T. moved around a lot as a kid. Believe she didn't want to repeat history, that and she was a self reliant woman. Believe from what she saw her mother go through she learned can't depend on people
