Another beautiful thing is, this recording is an old one, with the quality no so great , in the sense, the basic shruthi keeps messing up( at some places),. But when that happens , appa's aadhaara shrithi also keeps getting messed up. The interesting part of this, to which ever aadhaara shruthi the rec goes, appa's voice too goes along. This may be logical , but the lesson is, his shruthi is soooooo consistently spot on, at all times!! If his shruthi wasn't so consistently spot on, given this rec quality, the effect would be soo very different. Kudos to dear shri k.v.n. sir shruthi shuddham.

The incredible energy of my dad is phenomenal. Just reading that list , for a person/ musician/ student is exhausting!!!! Appa was always awesome in his list, no matter who accompanied him. And when these combos were there, he was extra excited and would have a ball at the list!!!

Yes, this photo was taken during their USA tour sometime around 1966 or 1967. The lady is the mother of Bob Brown, who was at Wesleyan University and helped organize some of KVN’s USA tours. Thanks for listening!
