This seems a bit of an confused comment, Finland was never fascist, as the fascist parties only ever held a small minority especially during war time. Finland was a co-belligerent in the war against the soviets alone, to defend our sovereignty and return the stolen territories in the winter war, Finland also did not participate in the siege of Leningrad as you stated. When it comes to independence, if your meaning by saying ''there was no strong independence movement'' is that there was no movement strong enough to challenge Russia then that is true as Finland would have been hard pressed to gain itself independence alone if Russia opposed it (which they did) but we definitely had a movement for independence separate from the social democrats in 1917, soldiers went to train in the German Empire to become jägers with the plan to fight our way to independence (they would later on go to help us in the civil war).
