Hey friends! We are back with what will be our last K12 unboxing. Check out the 5th grade unboxing and all the materials you currently get. It’s a bit different than what Lucy received when she was in 5th grade a few years ago. Some parents may view K12 as taking an unbalanced approach when it comes to current politics. Some will like it and some won’t. There have been a lot of positive and negative changes. Stayed tuned to find out why we are leaving the program and when. We're so happy to be Christian homeschoolers and out of the rigidity of the K12 program.
We also have more fun videos ahead! Like a certain board game in real life that will get very messy. We are so excited to be back!

Love your videos . Thank you for sharing . What does the end of the year look like? Do you have to send EVERYTHING back or just the main stuff like text books ect?

Hi! I do have a video about what is sent back. If you look through this playlist. But the short answer is no you don’t send everything back. The workbooks and “consumables” stay with you. The textbooks and other story books or novels go back. I do want to note though we no longer endorse K12 and I highly recommend seeking other options. We will have a video soon with a full list of reasons.

We’re doing regular homeschooling. I have a video posting today or tomorrow on why we left K12 and I also will be doing a video in a week or two on how we homeschool and what we use for that!

I’m thinking about doing the k-12 that’s not Virginia it’s in dallas what do you think? Is there a difference? Maybe your bad experience is because yours was through Virginia ?

In the beginning of the video I discuss why I don’t support K12 as a curriculum program. I wouldn’t use any of their schools. Their courses create unhealthy pressure on students and don’t actually follow scientifically proven educational methods. At the end of the video I think is when I also mention that the person who was the head of school for Va now is working for K12 on a national level. She’s one of the Vice Presidents. So no I’ll never recommend using any of their stuff knowing that it’s not an effective education platform and has such toxic practices. They completely ignore brain science in their quest for appearances of having advanced students. It’s not healthy across the board. There are better programs out there that can be tailored to individual needs and strengths.

How did your daughter like 8 th grade with k-12? My daughter will be home schooled in the fall and I’m in Ohio trying to decide if OHDELA or k-12 idk which one is better she has an IEP for Math

We pulled her at the beginning of 8th grade. She really hated all of it. My most recent video includes info on why we left and do not endorse K12 anymore
