I have a K1. It's been excellent! You don't have to inflate by mouth, with the seats. The pipe for the original pump has adapters which will fit those valves Great video, and clearly happy dogs

As one other commenter wrote, the original pump has 2 nozzles. One of them fits the 2 hull chamber valves and the other fits the 2 seat valves. No need to manually blow the seat up. It's also a good idea to inflate the bottom part of the seat to about 25% only. That gives a more stable feeling.

Was thinking of getting one of these (well, a K1 but close enough) off amazon for an entry level kayak, looks great for my purposes. Also, the miniature Jack Russell you guys have in the pink life jacket (not sure if its Apollo or Heidi) looks almost the spitting image of my dog Billy!

This is a good review on the K2 because I was wondering if it's OK to be used as a single-person Kayak; I know it's primarily meant to be used as a double, but I've heard the leg room on the K1 is a tight squeeze in the front for taller people (6 feet plus).

I believe either would be fine. The K2 definitely offers more room and it is not hard to maneuver by yourself.

we still use the same paddles and they have been good for us, but we only use the kayak on lakes. If you do rivers where you need to go against stream, you may wish to get some better ones :) Hope this helps!

we have never used it in sea water, it is advertised as a calm water kayak.

Is the K2 a two person Kayak? And I see it folds up quite compact at the start of the video. How much does it weigh compact and could I take in on the train?

the K2 is for two people, we like the extra room for our dogs. It has a carry bag, however, it is not that comfortable to carry for long periods of time.

You don't inflate any of that by mouth. It comes with a hand pump with the appropriate attachments.
