I'm thinking I might try an do a Kswap myself. I've never done any engine work before. So, this vid and your other vids are gold to me. I appreciate what you and Trappy do for us. Without this I wouldn't have the faith and knowledge to even fk with it. I'm gonna start shopping for a Civic this Summer and by then I should know exactly what I need to do a Kswap. I'm going for a K24a2 bottom and a K20a2 top. I was looking at the Civic type R head but I'm still researching. I'm trying to get back into the Honda game.

how do you put the cams back on and alighn the lobes ? in depth of that would be good -taking them off seemed easy and well explained -but i would appreciate the install explained in detail . like how do you place the lobes in relation to the valves ?

@ogboost76102 жыл бұрын
Just torn down my k20a2 150k miles Glad I did. Rod bearings showing faint signs of copper Motor application will be HPDE/time attack I am using 86.5mm supertech pistons in the 11.??:1 compression range. I’m not trying to make massive NA horsepower. Not going using big HP cams or fully porting the head. Head is getting complete supertech valve train kit and valve job, guides. What I call a solid rebuild with rods and pistons. I’m going to put that money into the oil system and cooling to help with longevity on the track. Not a daily driver. I don’t want to lose my motor because of cooling or oil system failure but anything is possible even with dry sump. I’ll do what I can though.
