This review has a been a very long time coming and what started with a disaster birthed this beautiful vehicle. I met with Shades Wade over a year ago to see his DC5 which was tragically taken by a flood hours later. He later purchased a new DC5 and created a monster in it's wake. It's crazy to see the devotion to a chassis and to see what can come with Anthony's heart.

Car looks clean and good but honestly dont say in the description that the pedals are dc5R covers because they are not....that looks like strutking... foot rest and gas pedal are very different even color.....you cant trick a good rsx owner....keep up the good work

lol i never denied them being strut king pedals ManuelTek. they are indeed strut king covers. but you do realize strut kings are 99% exactly the same as oem itr pedal covers. they are so close to the original i didnt bother wasting a few hundred on those parts. good eye though

Naa man dead pedal is way diferent also the gas cover is different pattern.. strutkings are stainlest chromish and itr's are silver colored....i tell you this cause i used to have them until i realized the difference...nice car deff like the gruppem intake

Why go with a catch can system on a Stock K20A?

its not so much from a typical "to relieve excess pressure" scenario like you see on a boosted car. its to keep the blow by and oil from recirculating back into the intake runner and muckin up the engine. just a piece of mind really. and i plan on going higher compression and itbs so it will be from a pressure aspect when your running 14:1 comp lol

02-05 type S trans has 4.3 final drive and a 05-06 type S or all Type R will have 4.7 final drive. probably most of what he's feeling

Sergmotive Garage has a solid Yosolo tune on his frank swap dc5 and is a hair away from breaking into the 11's. as for Jamie Marsh...all the fast cats like aki and others are rocking with jamie and putting down solid numbers. would love to hear more info!

They're essentially the same chassis, although you'd still need an ecu and harness off a type s and kpro

@ for sure k24 is a motor that makes more power. frank swaps and straight up k24's will make more power for sure but everyone is doing them. to keep something fresh on the table i want to push the k20a. its a legendary motor. as for dailying one and its all top end power thats just not true. the gear ratios in combo with the high comp and high rev range make the car that much more fun to drive. im just more geared towards the all motor route honestly. its more of a challenge to work for power. anyone can slap a turbo on a car and hit 300whp on 8lbs of boost. next project ill probably do a destroked k24 which will be a monster. just trying to keep things different and fresh. i get bored with the typical trends even if they are sucessful at making power.

the order of visiting tuners isn't really relevant because i will be switching it back to a basemap so no tuner gets any guidance or shortcuts from another tuner. they will all tune the car from a stock basemap essentially. the dyno systems each tuner use will be a bit tricky. evans uses hub dyno. but what i'll do after i visit all three tuners is go to my local tuning shop and do dyno pulls with each shops tune. see which one makes the most on National Speeds dynojet

@@ShadesWade So what is your goal? To see what tuner can make the most HP on your motor? Cuz every tuner has a different idea of an ideal powerband. Not all tuners tune just for peak hp number at 8500rpm. Some like to smooth things out and try to maximize mid-range for more daily cars for more usable power rather than just seeing peak HP numbers on a dyno. I have had awesome tunes make 15 less HP but feel much faster over a tune that is just going for all top end dyno queen numbers. This is because they go for a better mid-range and a smoother powerband. It all depends on the tuner but for me, HP numbers dont mean all that much. The feel of the motor is and how it functions is what is key for me and what makes a good tune for the application you are using it for.

@ definitely good points! my goal with the tuner shootout is to see what is the peak hp number a tuner can churn out SAFELY. obviously they could keep throwing more timing at it and eventually blow the bastard up but honestly you are right. a smoother midrange tune would be the ideal setup for my daily. the car wont be a daily forever unfortunately. i plan on a set of kinsler itb's and dc stage 3 or 4 cams and a pro 163 head. i think at that point the car is getting taken off the streets lol. but we'll see how everything goes. currently building the fuel system right now for flex fuel. all new ptfe system

@ thats great dude! 4 of em wow! this arctic blue pearl 2004 is my 2nd one. owned the first one for 14 years. they are truly great cars (aside from some of them having water leaks in the hatch like both of mine. lol and before you ask no its not the tail light gaskets. probably seam sealer cracked somewhere). i have a small group of subscribers over on my channel all gear around dc5 building. its great to start a channel and document your build and do it exactly like you want. keep it real. dont get into youtube for the money and algorithms lol
