Yay I have an answer to this! iirc it’s because there’s cognitive dissonance happening. If your eyes are perceiving a stationary object (your phone or words on a book) while your body is moving in a car, you have some sensory conflict between your body and eyes. Your brain gets confused, leading to a sick and even dizzy feeling. I remember searching this up years ago when I tried writing in my journal lol

Pilot here, aeronautical physiology is very important. Make sure you eat properly before flying, don’t consume alcohol 12 beforehand and aren’t hungover at all, and that you don’t fixate on the instruments in VFR. Airflow on your face also helps a lot. Good luck on your journey.

I always get motion sickness and a headache for 3 days whenever i look at my phone in a car. Its the worst feeling when going to a holiday trip. It depends, you have to pass particular medicals for particular licences. You can often learn to fly quite young but you can’t start counting hours till 14, solo flight at 16, and licence at 17. But it definitely requires a lot of money and commitment, there are nine exams you need to pass, a radio exam and a skills test.
