I didn’t realize the front access was changing on the 3600. I was torn between the 3600 and the 5000 but knowing that I think I’ll go 5000 for sure because I really like that access. Please don’t take it away on the new version of the 1800 too! Lol

Excellent bag design and overview. It’s the culmination of little things that make something special. Like the grommet at the bottom of the bladder sleeve or the stash bag loops to keep things you need the most handy and not stuffed down in the bag.

Love the new system BUT could you please add a water bladder hose retention on one or both sides of the shoulder harness?! It drives me crazy the top brands like Exo, Stone, IA and Kifaru don't come standard with such a simple item. Wish this had the horseshoe zip like the K4 5000 😞

Hey Stephen. We have tried a lot of different methods for bladder hose retention, and have also noticed that many of our customers have different preferences on what type of retention they want. The simplest, most reliable method is to just tuck the mouth piece between the webbing and the harness fabric/foam. This eliminates any bulk, any failure point, and is dead-simple. Many of the hardware retention clips are prone to breaking, and/or get in the way at times. If you want hardware for hose retention, there are countless option out there that are very affordable and work extremely well on our pack harness.

I think maybe he meant simply having an opening for the hose on the left and right side, as opposed to including a "piece of hardware". As a user of the K4, a K3, and many other packs over the past 50+ years, I find that the center hole opening for the hose is a bit more problematic than a "side opening" and reduces the practical available length of hose more than I prefer. This reduced practical length is because the hose must go straight up the center of the hydration compartment, through the center opening, then make a "right angle turn" to go around the shoulder, then turn again to get in front of the chest. This is NOT a big deal though and I appreciate the concept of simplicity. Probably helps keep costs down too. @@ExoMtnGear

It doesn't look like the BV500 (12" Tall) would fit horizontally. Our bags are 10.5 wide.

Yes, we will have a smaller K4 daypack coming for the K4 Frame this summer. It will be around that 2000ci size and you will be able to use it with or without a lid.

@@KoaPennock I like going in around 25lbs, and coming out heavy.. I played the 60 to 80 lb packs back in the day, I'm too old and too fat for that now. 🤣😂🤣
