The dog handler has a door pop mechanism on his gun belt and he presses the button which opens up the vehicle door allowing the dog to exit

@@andreaharris4683 no actually, there is no mechanism inside the car that would allow the dog to open the door from the inside. The door does not have a handler on the inside; the door can ONLY be opened from a handle on the outside, or from the door pop remote on the handler.

Love watching these videos. My dad was a K9 cop and we had a GSD growing up. Such smart dogs. I have now have a 3 year old since he was 8 weeks. Love training him and so thankful for the job these dogs do

"Man's best friend" doesn't even begin to describe the relationship humans have with our K-9 counterparts! Amazing animals, very intelligent, capable of both suspect takedowns or comforting / assisting those who are sick even disabled. I dont think the vast majority of people truly appreciate them and all they can do for us whilst being a loving & loyal companion for life.

Nice demonstration. I like how these dogs are alert while in vehicle and are tuned into the boss and what's happening near him. Then when circumstances command it, he opens door zeros in on his task. ❤ It's worth noting some dogs (good dogs otherwise), fail training. And rarely , a police dog will fail on duty and injure a inocent person
