Being a dog groomer for 16+ years, I have seen a lot of dogs and learned a variety of techniques of how to groom any dog WITHOUT restraints!

In addition to grooming techniques, I will be posting videos of health concerns or warning signs of possible health concerns to watch out for with any solutions I have learnt over the years.
I also plan to share unique characteristics that I come across while grooming as some are pretty unique and very interesting!

Oh Lord!!! So tough for this little old lady! She may be old but she is still a little fighter that little Mia! It takes a lot of love, patience and experience in order to handle such a pup! You sure got your money's worth with this one Lisa, and then some...Mia looked great in the end! Kudos to you Lisa for being so good with her!!! Wonderful job!

Great job. I was exhausted just watching. This was a great tutorial for me. I’m grooming 2 matter dogs in my neighborhood and educating them on not letting their dogs get matted.

Great groom Lisa! But those ears though! Our Chloe had bad ears which we had to clean every day but I've never seen so much goop come out of a dogs' ears! Does Mia maybe have an infection or maybe is in need of daily cleaning by the Pet Parent? Otherwise Mia was a sweet old girl, thanks for another great video, take care and enjoy your day! 💕🐾🐶💕

Thanks Ange! Yes she could definitely use some ear cleaning in-between groomings to keep up on it. Basically, it is just a build up and now it will release on its own but will need a bit of help to stay clean! Thanks for your kind words as always and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

Her poor ears. You did a great job. I have the same clippers. I have issues using them and usually don't because I always end up cutting my small dog. You seem pretty free with the angle you cut with them, so now I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I like to watch videos like yours so I can get inspired and try again.

Thanks for your kind words! I truly appreciate them. When was the last time you had your blades sharpened? That could be your culprit. I usually have 3 blades ready to go in each size, so I am ready to switch it out when it gets dull or too warm. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422 That's the thing, the clippers are brand new. . I know it's totally different, but I did go through cosmetology. In school, we worked with mostly haircuts and such. And I'm very creative so I loved doing mens haircuts, I was great at them! Then I got dogs and thought it would be the same technique, except you have a very scared baby under those clippers. I'd rather do the grooming myself instead of taking them to a groomer. I know I can do it, and I have confidence. Most of the time, I use a comb under my clippers, but It's not a great turnout, lol. I'm sure you could imagine. I'm a new subscriber, I'm sure you have more videos that I can run through where I can pick up little tidbits of knowledge, so that's what I'm going to do. Your shear skills, thooo.. 👌 You have confidence for sure! You're awesome! Hands down.

@@triciahammack8453 Hi there, I have been a subscriber and a member of this channel for just over a year now. I am not a handy person at all and I used to take my Cocker Spaniel to a groomer but, thanks to Lisa and her great videos, I have been able to learn to do my Cocker Spaniel myself at home. You should take the time to watch each video that Lisa has produced so that you can get used to the different blades that she uses on different dogs. As for me, I don't like to have my Cocker too short, so I invested in longer blades such as the 3/4 inch blade and a 3 3/4 (which cuts to 1/2 inch). Believe me, I am no professional and I have managed to keep my boy looking good and clean! So, I am sure you will be able to do your fur baby as well. So, start slowly, and maybe go with a longer blade to start with, or even a guard comb if you are uncertain, then you will graduate to the actual blade itself! It takes me about 3 hours just to do a first round on my dog, before the bath, and then another hour just to finish up after the bath. Don't give up, and you'll get there!!! And Lisa will answer any question you may have, she is really dedicated and helpful!
