No wonder conditions have been so poor lately.. your damn antennas are sucking all the signals out of the ether! :p

Super work, Craig! It's always a pleasure to work you in contests, either from my home station (WB5EIN) or when I'm fortunate enough to be on a team at NQ4I. See you in the log, for sure! --Larry WB5EIN

Just curious....are half those antennas to QRM the backside of the active ones to obliterate your competitors? :-)

I think you have the entire world covered Craig. Nice group of antennas on the high bands. Can't wait to work you from the new station. JD/N0IRS

I'd love to see the shack setup . This is ridiculous level . A lot of engineering and thought went into this . Not to mention time and money . I don't know much , I'm a rookie tech who enjoys 10 meter DX and some local 2 meter stuff , so to see this , it really is amazing and I truly appreciate what it took to make this come to pass . I can't imagine the cost ?? I'd say you have more money invested in coax and antennas than I make in a year , not counting the towers , guy wire cables , the property , labor , machinery to prep the land and equipment to raise the towers , a house , that's full of radios , probably some linears and all kinds of other miscellaneous equipment .. I'm gonna guess this whole outfit is hitting the million dollar mark ?? Or close to it ??

Question since I’m ignorant of the subject matter. Are these clubs doing this? Surely not just one person is? Thanks in advance.

Really impressive. How many people are running this station?

Beyond awesome! Now, please don't obliterate my puny 100w into a vertical signal from my postage stamp sized lot, as I try to net that rare DX in a pileup!
@Dreadlk13 жыл бұрын
I just wonder if all this Antenna goodness in db gain is not zeroed out by the huge cable losses? Even with the best Jacketed cable you will have huge losses in Rx and Tx Power over those huge runs from the shack.
@seeharvester Жыл бұрын
Have you seen their hardline? Huge.

NO way my CCR regulations will allow me to put up this type of antenna system!! This would make a super station for QRP (< 5W ) work with the low cable losses you have. I wonder if anyone in your club has ever gotten a DXCC QRP with these antennas.

I estimate millions. 40 acres of land, buildings, towers, antennas, radios, amps, computers, miles of hardline, not to mention maintenance equipment, insurance, lawyers, consultants, engineers, etc. The list goes on.

Hey I thought its just ham radio not a commercial broadcast station. These stations should not be able to be in the contest, this is a little much.
@leo23952 жыл бұрын
Why not? Some people worked really hard to build such a station
