Alotta unmitigated trauma lingering in these ghastly grids of NYC from this man's era/ peer group (I'm late 80s born, on the tail end of that era). These lands was birthing Titans. Now the pilgrims moving in n a brotha like Ka is truly a worst nightmare to the forces that been workin to stifle n marginalize the Gods n the actual pulse of the culture....make it seem un-relevant. Dirty and clean at the same time. "wish I had another skill"..."I don't want to do it, got to do it"... This is the concept when I talk to people who don't understand the struggles of the hood. Not all people have a choice between good and bad, some only have a choice between bad and worse. Go down to the trap house where they have money, food, some resemblance of "love" and a "job" moving a pack (bad) or starve in the house with no food or means to survive (worse). Heavy
