The gossip involving Vayalar and Devarajan is already shown to be plain lies, without any basis. As for Unni Menon, you write as if Unni Menon himself confided in you about Yesudas's 'evill doings'! What is the basis of your allegation? Read below. Unni Menon in his article in Manorama Online and in interviews has mentioned he owes his break in film music to Yesudas. His two most famous songs were to be sung by Yesudas originally ('Thozhuthu Madangum' & 'Valakilukkam oru Valakilukkam'). Unni menon had sung the tracks for the these two songs. When Yesudas listened to the tracks sung by Unni Menon he liked it and asked the music director to take Unni Menon's tracks as the final song. These are the two songs that made Unni Menon famous. Unni Menon got his break in these two songs and even got his first award for one of them. In a recent vlog Sreekumaran Thampi confirms this. Secondly, Unni Menon in one of his interviews narrates the following incident. Unni Menon was travelling in an auto rikshaw in Chennai. Yesudas passed him in his car. Yesudas stopped the car and went to Unni Menon and talked to him. He told Unni Menon: "Chennai is a very dusty city. If you travel in auto/ scooter in Chennai you are exposing your head to dust and it will affect your throat and your voice. As a singer, avoid travelling in auto/scooter, to protect your voice."
