Theme of the story is great. A woman never loves a man in person, she loves just her husband in a man. Kamala mistakenly knew Ramesh her husband and spent years wishing his physical adore but the moment she came to know him not to be her husband, she determined to escape him, and so she did, she left her at once. Fortunately, or as pious result of her chastity, she could meet her real husband, Nalinaksha, and devote herself to him as if a flower of love to God's feet. Only an Indian woman knows value of such chastity and full devotion to husband.

Entire story is simply cheos result of miscommunication. Bhai Ramesh knew everything. He could have simply made kamala clearly said this ' excuse me there was confusion ma'am kamala, I am not naleenaksh to whom you are maaried and you are not sushila. So basically our spouse are missing accidentally.Let's find them till then either you go back to your village or stay with Hemnalini she is my friend. Then to Hemnalini " See out of an emotional pressure I married a girl susheela, she is missing or no more accidentally. So I am single. And apologize for that decision and now ready to marry you. So that's it. No melodrama but Bengali writers and there heroins keep crying unnecessarily.
