Story Start

Priyanshi - (calling out and showing concern) Reema, Kiran, son come home, see how many dark clouds are gathering.
Reema - (playing) Mom is coming.
Narration - Priyanshi called both her daughters inside the house. Soon, lightning started flashing and heavy rain started.
Priyanshi - (scared) Oh no. I am very scared of such weather.
Urmila - (worried) I also feel the same. Because whenever there is heavy rain, our roof starts leaking.
narration - Urmila had just said this when the roof started leaking.
Lakshmi - (worriedly keeping the utensils aside) Oh no, mother, as soon as you said this, water has started coming into the house.
Urmila - (scared) Oh God, please don't let water drip from many places today.
narration - Everyone in the house was tensed because whenever it rained, their whole house would get filled with water. Today too, it was raining very heavily. Water started dripping from many places in their house.
Kiran - (narrating) Mother, look, all the pillows have become wet from there.
Priyanshi - (asking quickly) Where? Oh no, mother, now even this corner is leaking.
Urmila - (getting worried) What? Oh God, daughter-in-law, keep the bed here in the kitchen corner, water does not come here.
Narration - Urmila had just said this when the rain became even more intense. Today, Sawan was raining heavily and in such a situation, there was no place left in their house from where water was not dripping into their house. The whole family became helpless after seeing this and Lakshmi spoke angrily.
Lakshmi - (getting angry) Enough is enough now. Mother, don't you think that we face all this every year? When will you get this house repaired? We have been living in a one-room house for years. It is hot here in summer. Storms cause trouble. Rains trouble us from all sides in rainy season. Is there anything called peace in our fate?
Priyanshi - (explaining to Lakshmi) Stop it Lakshmi. If mother was in her control to get this house repaired, would she have killed all of us in this one room house? Right now our circumstances are not such that we can live peacefully. And anyway we should never underestimate what we have. We have this one room house, otherwise many people make their homes out of tarpaulins, garbage cans and pipelines etc. and live there.

Narration - Urmila ended the conversation by saying this. The rain kept coming for a long time and for the same time all the family members kept waiting for it to stop under the dripping roof. Priyanshi did not even cook food today because the stove, wood, everything was wet. At night when the rain became a little light, then Lakhan and Satyam came home.
Lakhan - (entering the house) There was a very strong storm today. There was not much water in the house, right?
Urmila - (laughing) No, not much. The condition of the whole house has become like this.
Narration - When Lakhan and Satyam looked around, they understood everything. The whole house was filled with water enough to submerge their feet, due to which their bed, stove, food and all other things got wet badly.
Satyam - (getting worried) Oh no, what has happened. Baba, let's remove this water.
Narration - As soon as Satyam and Lakhan came back from work, they started removing water from the house, in a short time they filled all the water in a bucket and threw it out of the house. But even then their problem was not solved.
Satyam - (getting worried) How will we spend tonight?

Lakshmi - (getting angry) You are right. This is the same drama every day. Whenever it rains, the house gets wet and then all the sleep is ruined.
