Thanks for responding. I did learn later that they didn't wear anything under their Malo, But I did notice that some dance groups did wear something. Sounds rather exciting to think they are so brave, besides doing such a wonderful job of dancing. I hope they keep on dancing. Would love a new video of these guys.

They are wearing traditional attire, called a malo. This is a long piece of material that is tied and twisted to cover their ma`i (private parts).

actually, a proper loincloth will make it's own underwear, sorta. The fabric is passed between the legs. This is why this item of clothing has been around for millenia. simple, easy to make, easy to wear..... Perfect for wilderness camping in the summer, in fact.
