It’s crazy how many scrolls this man left us, but for this, THIS to be the album before he left us…man. I’m still bugging out on Orpheus vs The Sirens and that was 2018 KA. What a catalogue.

Ka is a genre unto himself . He writes with an intention and from an inspiration that's different from not just the rest of hip hop, but even from his lyric driven peers . His maturity with words is unmatched . And yes, i get it, musically, his "beat" selection is often not the stuff we would traditionally consider 🔥 instrumentals . If anything, Ka doesn't rhyme to beats as much as he narrates with sound arrangements as atmosphere . He's the epitome of ' this ain't gonna be for everybody ' but in my humble opinion he's the greatest writer of a man's evolution not just in rap but in literature in the last 20 years .

In my humble opinion (only) Ka is Better than Roc Marciano. 🤷🏽♂️ Roc isn't as deep or intricate with his bars. (Layered) But Roc has more personality (Razzle dazzle) for example...in battle rap you have two kinds for battle rappers (you can compare them (KA and Roc with Battle rappers) their writing styles is similar) Ka is like a Loaded lux and Daylyt type Roc is like a murda mook to tsu surf type
@Doctor_Beats2 ай бұрын
Yeah I think of them in the same category, pen-wise. But their intent is completely different and the production choices reflect it. Love them both in different ways.
@bowling4clarity8172 ай бұрын
@@will_cashgrow2294 I get why people compare Ka and Roc , especially with their friendship . I'm as huge a Roc fan as I am of Ka . While they're both of the hushed monotone rhyme style over rare often darker and slower beats, their actual content is almost night and day . Roc is still heavy on the shot caller pimp posturing " car buying out the window, process the info..my chest is an igloo, your flesh is a menu " type rhymes , while Ka who is just as ill, but his offering of bars are of someone not impressed with superficial and flossy self portrayal . Ka is more about unpacking the cold pathology of why he used to pack heat or the residue PTSD of poverty and how he reconciles as an more enlightened man .He reveals his scar tissue in the most artfully dense way . Roc is still on rapper time, still about showing his fly he is and he's very comical in his slick talk .

@Doctor_Beats gotta disagree respectfully about both having similar pen 🖊 Nope. Roc Marci isn't as deep. Ka uses more schemes. Ka- The poet rapper, Roc a rapper. KA lyrics you'll have to really listen more, Roc...you can get his lyrics the first time

@@will_cashgrow2294I think we’re talking past each other a bit, I agree with both of you. I probably should’ve said something like the calibre of their pen, not necessarily the literary devices they’re using in their rhymes.
