I think that your body-surges are a little different, from mine on the Storm. I lean into/over the handlebars before touching the throttle. On this scooter you need to know that it’s important to lower the body and stick your butt out as far as possible, before braking. If braking too fast, a scooter this high off the ground, tends to tail-lift under strong breaking. Also, don’t place weight on the scooter’s back foot rest when accelerating. I’m writing this for new STORM owners. Thankfully, I did my homework before I bought this gem. I LOVE it…until it kills me😊

For 5'7" inch person who just came off a Segway GT1, this is the next platform I would like to take on. I continually hear reviews talk about the handlebar being somewhat shorter to the deck than other scooters. Just curious if it is noticeable at all based off your rides and comfort level based off your hight which I would assume are taller. While I felt very comfortable on the GT1 there is just so many more boxes the GTR covers for me and my riding style, I feel like the handlebar hight wouldn't be an issue for a 5'7" rider. Thoughts?

I still don't think the wheels are big enough. Coming from MTB. There is a reason they went to 29ner wheels. Gets much safer and smooth when wheel diameter increases.

This is why larger scooters typically come with steering dampeners. 10+ inch scooters are decent all round but ideally your scooter tires are wider for larger ground coverage and a more planted feeling at high speeds. Also 29er wheels are not suited for everyone in all use-cases, I run classic 26 MTB wheels on my ebike and it works great for me personally although I do see the appeal of larger wheels.

Well, I guess it's like what they call a white law you could put in first gear in that type of long range, but in reality you can cut in half almost every single electric scooter manufacturer range estimate. They're giving you estimates for the lightest possible person, the lowest possible gear which most people are not.
