That gesture you wanted to know is done when you see someone very beautiful, doing something beautiful, or cute and you don't want them to catch an evil eye. That's when you do that gesture. It means may you don't get an evil eye.

Paro is Aishwariya in this movie. Devdas (the guy's) childhood friend turned lover. Devdas is the son of a Baron (Zamindar) and since Paro didn't belong to such wealth, Devdas' mother and father objected to the wedding. The woman here is Madhuri Dixit, another great actress and dancer of the mid 80s and 90s. She plays Chandramukhi a Baiji (courtesan). Now since this movie is set in the mid 19th century (1850s- 1860s), it is key to understand that she's not a "whore" as such lol. Courtesans of that period were trained in classical music and dance especially Kathak. They were trained performers and it is true that they did have relationships with wealthy lords who would shower them with jewellery and silks. Like the primadonna of opera, they too were highly revered and famed for their beauty and grace and talent these wealthy men would worship these traits and i guess sleep with them or just be with them but more of a "look i bought you diamonds" and not like "20 dollars per hour" type of way lol. In this movie, Chandramukhi's parts are sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy a great classical singer which lends beautifully to chandramukhi's character of a classically skilled courtesan. Paro's parts are sung by Shreya Ghoshal and since this movie came out in 2000, Shreya was a teenagers then and this was her first movie. Hence her sweet innocent voice goes beautifully with aishwariya's character of this sweet, naive girl next door. But Kavita Krishnamurthy sang one song from this movie and it is when Devdas returns home to find that Paro is getting married and that song is so beautiful and heartbreaking. It's called Hamesha tumko Chaha.

In Indian music and dance Facial expressions are very very important to sync with body language. And specially In Indian Classical Music , Facial expression is the most noticeable thing

The hand gesture means, if you are doing anything very beautiful, if you are looking very beautiful then this is the indian method of praying for him / her that he/she should continue to do the same thing and no any bad vibrations / mischievous eyes disturb you from doing u this

The only issue I have with your reaction is that you keep pausing every 2 seconds. You will never have a "complete" feel of the song (any song) unless you watch it without a pause.
