ராகதேவதை அவர் குரலில் குடியிருப்பது போல் தெரிகிறது. மனம் ஆன்மாவை தொட்டுக் கரைக்கும் பாட்டு அவருக்கே சாத்தியம்.

The only regret I have is not to have been born when the great Madurai Mani Iyer was alive. Absolutely mesmerizing rendition.

Yes. Chowdaiya Garu on the violin & the young Umayalpuram Sivaraman. MMI had been accompanied by many all time greats like TNK, Lagudi, Kumbakonam Rajamanicjam Pillai, Kandadevi Alagirisamy Pillai, Madavaram Govindasamy Pillai on violin and Vellore Ramabadran, Palani Subramaniya Pillai, Palghar Mani Iyer, Umayalpuram, on the Mridangam. As a young boy I could listen to a lot of Kutcheries mostly in AIR and could able to identify each one of them by their inimitable style & Nadam each one had. Later TK Murthy came & brought his own distinct style in Mridangam. I listened to a lot of Nadamswaram kutcheries both in AIR & personally in places like Thiruveezhimizhalai, Tiruvidaimarudur, Uppiliappan Koil etc. A golden age. Those days the peasants came in large numbers to listen to these kutcheries and enjoyed with their intricate knowledge in music. But, the Dravida culture had robbed them of their knowledge in Music in Astrology. Only, Oduvaar Desikan community escaped the Dravidian attack and had kept their culture in tact.
