I always wondered why a kicker can't also be a punter because I'm sure they have plenty of time in practice to practice both. If someone like this works actually emerge they could free up an extra roster spot on an NFL team.

that makes sense in theory, but in reality they are very different. Kaare is perfect example. he's a phenomenal punter and kick off guy, and great at onside kicks, etc. but not much of a FG kicker.
