पटियाला घराने के दो दिग्गज उस्ताद अमानत अली और उस्ताद फतेह अली ने आफाक थामरी का एक गाना गाया था "तुम कब आओगे, तुम आओगे, मोरा तुम बिन जिया रा सदास रहे"। जब मैं इसे सुनता हूं तो भी मुझे संतुष्टि नहीं होती. तबले पर उस्ताद शौकत हुसैन, संगीत कार्यक्रम में हम अशफाक साहब, मलिका पखराज, कतील शाफई, अखलाक अहमद, शौकत अली, यूसुफ कामरान, गुलाम अली जैसे दिग्गजों को देख सकते हैं। कितने खूबसूरत लोग थे, जो आंखों में समा जाते थे और दिल में समा जाते थे।

I first heard Ustad Amanat Ali on PTV when I went to Lahore for medical studies in winter of 1974. The first song was Punjabi "Aaye Dharti Mera Sona Yaro, Meh Aida Soonayara" . "Then the legendary, "Insha Ji Outho, Aab Kuch Karo". Such genius talent fixated in my mind since then. That is benchmark.

आपने बहुत ही अच्छे से परख लिया,एक बात मैं हमेशा से मानता आ रहूं कि खान ही एक अच्छे गले के मालिक होते हैं,यह बहुत बड़ा सच है,संगीत इनके रगों रंगों में होता है , इसका जवाब भी बहुत ही सीधा (straight forward) और सादा (plain)है ।खान ,दिल से साफगोई रखते हैं और मन मस्तिष्क (दिमाग़)में मैल और गंदगी नहीं रखते संगीत प्रेम का आधार चाहता है यह सुंदर दिलो-दिमाग के लोगों पर ही आ जाता है और छा जाता है। एक किसी बड़े संगीत घराने से ताल्लुक रखने वाले दो गायक भाई "हद्दू खां और हस्सू खां " किसी बड़े नवाब के यहां गाते गाते शास्त्रीय संगीत की सुरों को लगाने में मुंह से खून निकल आया और वही प्राण निकल गये ,लेकिन उस राग की उन मुरकियों को गाने वाला दूसरा कोई नहीं पैदा हो सका ,इतनी कठिन राग थी । 🙏🙏🙏 "उस्ताद बड़े गुलाम अली खान" साहब ने किसी से संगीत की स्वर लहरियों पर अल्लाह की नेमत का वास्ता दिया, ,"यू ट्यूब" में यह छोटा सा शार्ट विडिओ मौजूद है ,जिसमें वे यह कहते हैं कि हवाओं को मैं क्या, बस में कर सकता हूं, यह तो अल्लाह की मेहरबानी से है ।🙏
