Like on one hand Mustafa’s mother is wrong for her excessive criticism and lack of grace, but in some ways her practicality with money can be understood especially when the family is tight on money and she’s keeping account of things. Rubab is unlikable but her insecurity when Adeel is around Sharjeena seems like a natural reaction. Adeel seems to be annoyingly status conscious but still put his family forward in hard times. The emotionally sincerest characters ultimately are Sharjeena and Mustafa
