In Hindi they made more exaggerated and over possessive!! Being an medico i can guarantee u will not find any of the guy doing such extreme level of Craziness!!! Our HOD always teach us to treat everyone equally and don't be over possessive for anything which is not showing any interests towards ur interests!! Always pair with person who's frequency matches with u!!

To clear your notion about prohibition of alcohol in india, I would say that the protagonist in the movie is hindu. And in hinduism it is not "strictly prohibited". If I explain about hinduism it will be a long discussion. But just know this, in hinduism God doesn't impose any law, ritual to anybody. God leaves that to us whether or not we want to submit ourselves to him. Even most of the parents, who are hindu, do not force theirs children to adhere the religious laws. But you are right, in india (or in Islamic contries) alcohol is strictly prohibited as per Islam. Alcohol is 'haram' for muslims.
