They moved south after the Slavic migration in the Balkans. They were and continue to be Greek Byzantine Orthodox and loyal citizens of the Greek state since the time of Greek revolution of 1821 in which Arvanites played a crucial role. Greek state does not recognize national or cultural minorities; Arvanites "brothers" in Italy enjoy all minority rights and have even opened schools where their young children can learn "Arvanitika" (Albanian). Let Arvanites be, and let them serve as bridge between Albania and Greece instead of fighting over politics.

If you read, any western linguists or anthropologist would tell you that these people originated from Arbanon, an Albanian province in Medieval times. Their language is very close to Arberesh (Medieval Albanians) of Italy. Greek state has been very repressive toward cultural minorities, and Arvanites try to hide their "Albanian" DNA and language. Even wikipedia would tell you about Arvanite - this language is not studied with the Greek language, but with the Albanian language which it belongs. No shame into finding out that Arvanites share common blood and language with modern-day Albanians. Albanians are not an inferior race compared to Greeks; Germans who were so hellbent in racial superiority placed Albanians higher than Greeks and Serbs, so much so, that they gave Kosovo and other parts from south Serbia to Albania, including some areas that you now call North Macedonia.; they never said they are occupying Albania, they came to fill in the vacuum left my capitulating Italy, and for fear of Allied forces taking Albania. Germans gave Greece a German king in 1832, and Germans gave Albania a German king in 1913. They love Greece, but they were disappointed in Greeks.

Petar Nikolic kad bi razumeo albanski jezik onda bi konstatirao da ovi su arvaniti, albansko pljeme. Takodje i igra je tradicionalna albanska igra. Mada ja ne dosudjujem nikoga.
