Sorry your parents were liars and couldn't tell the truth to save their life but our parents did us better and in turn we do them better. We don't raise ❄️'s and we tell it like it is. True, there's an age limit on kids but it's always better to be honest when you can. I've been told I'd make a better mother than my own sister, who has two kids. All because I have a no bullshite attitude when it comes to kids. Kids listen when I speak. I've helped raise two nephews and I've always kept it real. I'm currently helping raise my baby niece. She gets so excited when she sees me. Her little face just lights up... Although I'm a little softer on her because she's just too damn adorable. I am their favorite person and make them happy. I actually just spent the weekend with my one nephew playing video games and he told me I'm the only person that makes him happy. I make him laugh, but I also make sure he does what he needs to do. Same with my other two. Just because strong parent figures like to be open and honest doesn't make us terrible. Makes you ignorant and oblivious though. I feel sorry for you

For many people never listened to country music! You're missing out a lot! Honestly, about 2 years ago, I was not such a big fan of country music. But i do have an innate passion for country music! But now I'm a full time country music devoter and I'm telling, there are just so many good music here. Country music got me through tough time, and I just can't get out of it. Kacey Musgraves is such an inspiring artist! If you guys join the wagon, trust me you'll never get out!!! I hope country music will always be dominant in the US and people would listen to it more often! You are not a true country person if all you heard is Taylor Swift ( she's country to some degrees, but she's still a pop star from where I'm at)!

That'a really cool! I only truly discovered Kacey Musgraves two days ago, but I'm already getting ADDICTED to her music, and I'll buy her album in a few days. :) I'm feeling really excited because I'm Portuguese and, until a couple of years ago, I didn't know any country artist or band, beside Taylor Swift. Now, I already heard a few popular artists, and I'll try to listen to my father's 3 "old" country albums. Could you please suggest me some good country artists or bands, preferably recent? Because, so far, it's being easy for me to discover great classic country artist (like Loretta Lynn), but most of what I can find in today's popular country music are songs about trucks, beer, girls in tight jeans… They're not terrible, and I think every song has its place and is somehow important, but I'm entering a phase where I want to hear more serious music.
