I don’t usually comment on things and I know no one will see this or care but I just completely started bawling my eyes out listening to this. I so vividly remember downloading this song on my little iPod back in 7th grade. I loved the song so much. I haven’t heard it in yearssss until I stumbled upon this video today. There have been some serious changes in the world and who I am since I last heard the song. Loss of many family members and friends, 2 suicide attempts, sexual assault, and my unplanned pregnancy had to be terminated yesterday, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Long story short, lots of heartbreak. Listening to this again made me think of my younger 13 year old self and who I was back then. Don’t know where that simple thing went. Just made me sad and nostalgic. Kacey’s voice always hits deeply different.

I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin I came across a fallen tree I felt the branches of it looking at me Is this the place we used to love? Is this the place that I've been dreaming of? Oh simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin And if you have a minute, why don't we go Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything So why don't we go somewhere only we know? Somewhere only we know Oh simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin And if you have a minute, why don't we go Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything So why don't we go? So why don't we go? Oh, this could be the end of everything So why don't we go somewhere only we know? Somewhere only we know Somewhere only we know

DEVASTATING! HOLY S**T! For the first time I can understand all the words, which are beautiful. And all three instrumentalists are great, but that cellist is unreal!
