First off, congratulations on your anniversary!!❤ also you did a great job on the video. One of the best or maybe the best you’ve ever done. Love the music. Good choices! Five days is definitely not log enough for a trip like that, 2 weeks would be better. So you can relax. I follow a couple of people who live there. It’s called the land of smiles. Sorry you got sick. I went to that same elephant sanctuary almost a year ago! The poor elephant swinging her head made me sad but she was honestly my favourite. I was told she also had dementia. I'm glad to see she's still there 😊.

So sorry you both got sick 😢 thats the worse with so far from home , i learned my lesson many years ago while on hoilday in Spain( i always said No to the ice in my drinks ,friends of ours had been very ill a few months before hand while on holiday in Asia . But i was always served ice spent more time taking it out,but once melted that was a different story. Your Trip looked amazing what a very very long Travel day 🫣 eek yes maybe 2 wks or more would have been Beter . I am sure you might visit again at some point , only planning the Trip differently. Have a good weekend 🥰

Omg… I cannot believe you guys went to THAILAND for 5 days!! I’m also a FA but in Canada and I’ve been there but omggg not for such a short amount of time considering the flight time! Good effort guys. The temples in Chang rai are stunning, and it’s great you were able to spend time with elephants too!!

I’m so sorry you were both sick!! Those long travel days and then just getting a couple of days to enjoy Thailand you need a do over!! Just keep those good days in your memory bank so when thinking back years from now you’ll just remember those beautiful white and blue temples and the amazing boat ride celebrating your second anniversary!! McDonalds is ALWAYS my first stop after international travel!!! I constantly flew back and forth to SVG for school, and the O'Hare 24 Hour McDonalds was my oasis!

Thailand is gorgeous! It has been on my travel wish list for ages, but I never had enough vacation time to do something like your trip before my current job. Sorry you both got sick! In preparation for our UK trip a few years back, my husband and I made sure we were accustomed to drinking room temperature water and soda because the refrigeration wasn't supposed to be very good. It's come in handy not wanting things to be iced!

My mom and aunt went to Bangkok many moons ago and when they went to the palace my mom had to rent a shirt to cover her tank top. My aunt had to rent a pair of shoes because she was wearing sandals and that was a no-no, naked feet and all. BUT they had to remove their shoes to enter the palace. That always makes me laugh.

You should have told these hotels you were celebrating your wedding anniversary. They love to give freebies for these types of events. Going to Thailand is a long trip unless you live near that country.

I know as a flight attendant the reason you book flights like that. But if I was a flight attendant I still think I would book my flights at least a few weeks in advance so I wouldn’t be stressed out if I didn’t get a seat and then be so exhausted when I get to my destination.
