I’m not the kind of person that listens to this music. I just don’t. Not my bag. I heard this song playing on the radio while I was at work at a mall. Went home to find out what it was and haven’t stopped listening. I’m struggling with mental health and it always helps me push through. I sing it to my son when he doesn’t want to sleep and it calms him down. Just hope she knows how much her music has touched people like me.

It had just lightly rained in September and I look up and see not just a rainbow but two, with the smaller one below the first, a little faded. that night my best friend and her little brother passed away. At least once a month we’ve seen a rainbow. Since it’s winter it’s been impossible to, but a day before the 5 month mark since their death, I dreamt of a rainbow and saw that my best friend was looking at the same rainbow and I ran to her only to flash a smile before she disappeared. Then it began to rain. Of that week the weather had been clearing and that day it rained and I was on my way home from school, my mom and I saw a rainbow. It was a sign to let me know they’re still here. I saw Kacey’s performance on the Grammys and almost cried. This song holds so much meaning to me now. Thank you.

When I first heard this song, it reminded me so much of my students. I am a teacher of students with learning disabilities and so many of them feel like they are always a failure, especially when it comes to learning. I try to set them up for success because cultivating a positive mindset is such a big part of them being successful. If they can reach and experience any amount of the potential I see in them, I have done my job well.

This song means so much to me. November 2017, my second niece Alaina was still born a few days past her due date due to my older sister having factor five and I’ve never experienced a family death in my 20 years of living and this is still something I struggle to deal with. It’s made my anxiety and depression so much worse and it’s hard enough to find help for my mental health so I’ve been completely lost since this. I love Harry Styles and One Direction with all my heart and have since I was 14 so after 6+ years of waiting I finally got to see him and Kacey was his opening act and I swear I’m so thankful to have seen her perform this song live. I cried my eyes out, that’s how much this song has helped me heal. I can’t thank Kacey enough for being the amazing woman and artist she is. I hope I get to tell her one day how much she means to me. Thank you Kacey for everything 😭💞
