I had that same vanity throwing up. It was the same yellow but I did not have the stool. Instead I had a armchair. It matched the vanity. And mine had two small tables similar to nightstands that went with it. Both open from the top and we're deep and we're at the same height as the vanity with a drawer at the bottom. And I had an antique perfume set with a holding train. And I had my mother's grandmother's beauty set which included two handheld mirrors, a brush, a cone, bottles for lotion and powders, and a tray for the sit on. This was all given to me on my 16th birthday. I felt as if I was the luckiest girl in the world. And I have loved antiques all my life. And my husband and I are still buying antiques today

I’ve heard of painting fabric but this is the first time I’ve actually seen it done. It is so beautiful your work always comes out so good because you put your love in every thing you do. Who ever buys it is going to love it 💕

When painting fabrics, if u will lightly mist the fabric with water first before starting the painting and use warm water to mix in the paint causes the fibers to open up and accept the paint as a dye instead of a surface layer. Also after the paint drys it is a must to soften the fabric by lightly sanding it , especially in between coats. If u do not sand your fabric can feel rough or crunchy.

That is the same vanity, color and style, (along with the dresser and nightstands, but not the stool) from my childhood, except I seem to recall it having an open space without the dividers under the lift-top. Beautiful !!!

As a child in the 1950’s I had this French Provencial Set! Had the bed, night table, a large heavy dresser with mirror. For my birthday, I got a Singer Touch and Sew machine with matching table. Wish I still had them, but I had to downsize long ago.

I have the exact, or almost exact, same vanity. I've been wanting to have painted for use in my skincare office. I haven't painted anything other than a dresser before, and never used chalk paint.
