Like this project was done over a few days I suspect, then put on YT in a 10 minute video capturing every detail, start to finish. From the intro to hauling the piece into your studio, from the cleaning, repairs and other prep to sharing what products are used, from the painting and embellishing to the sealing and attaching the hardware for that final touch. All for the Big Reveal that is ALWAYS worth the wait! Thank you Kacha & Carlos for consistently sharing these phenomenal masterpieces. Whether as a hobby or a livelihood; and whatever it is called, i.e. furniture art, flipping, upcycling or repurposing, it has caught on. Like Martha Steward would say, "It's a Good Thing!" You are doing something that is sustainable and exemplifies good environmental stewardship. Meaning, lessening the pollution from furniture factories and reducing the amount of waste being sent to landfills and incinerators. Gold leafing is so beautiful especially on a heavily carved piece…but may I suggest your under be red and not black..red is the classic and best for the gold leaf to be richer and deeper. Also suggest to antique with raw umber glaze not black, black is too harsh. Finally, to finish your layering, a light spatter in black with a fan brush. Try it on a test piece, you will see the difference. Best wishes!
