KACKAR MOUNTAINS - Trekking in Turkey

Hiking and camping my way through Turkey's beautiful Kackar Mountains. I began my Kackar mountain journey walking up a dirt road towards lush green foothills from the small tourist town of Ayder. Passing the occasional deserted yayla next to a river swollen with fresh snow-melt.

Turkey has amazing landscapes to explore. We love this country, especially Kackar Mountain Range. But we explored it in a small city car, even in high mountains and dirt roads ;) Best views ever ;)

Hey Matthew! Great Video as always :) I want to do the same hike in August or July. I just wanted to ask where did you get food and water during your 4 day hike? Are there any villages or something along the way? Greetings form Germany

@@beyondthestars4299 yes I did. But I did it a bit differently. Flew into Erzurum, rented a car there and drove to a small village I forgot the name. The next bigger village is Yusufeli. Stayed for about one week and different hikes each day. Amazing places for sure
