Lucknow Mango Man: There is a place in the country where more than 300 varieties of mangoes grow on a single tree. This tree is present near the Malihabad intersection, just a few kilometers away from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. 83 year old Haji Kalim Ullah Khan, a resident of Malihabad, who grew this tree It is known all over the world as Mango Man. To know the secret of this miraculous tree, the Japanese team has also come here. In 2008, Haji Saheb was also awarded the Padma Shri by the then President Pratibha Patil for this wonderful work.
देश में एक जगह ऐसी है जहां एक ही पेड़ पर 300 से ज्यादा किस्म के आम लगते हैं. उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ से कुछ ही किलोमीटर दूर मलिहाबाद चौराहे के पास ये पेड़ मौजूद है. इस पेड़ को उगाने वाले मलिहाबाद के रहनेवाले 83 साल के हाजी कलीम उल्लाह खान को पूरी दुनिया में मैंगो मैन के नाम से जाना जाता है.‌ इस चमत्कारी पेड़ का रहस्य जानने के लिए जापान की टीम भी यहां पर आ चुकी है. 2008 में हाजी साहब को अपने इसी अद्भुत काम के लिए तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति प्रतिभा पाटिल ने पद्मश्री सम्मान से भी नवाजा था.
