I grew up playing the Ultimate Ninja Storm games starting with Generations as a kid with my broehter when I went to his house, and I started watching the anime for the first time last year! I got all my knowledge through the games and pretty much know who dies and the basic stuff, but it's different actually experiencing it for real for the FIRST time!😁❤️

@@kornishoni5266 She only does that while in a free battle. In story mode she doesn't need to so she attacks you without stopping, which makes her one of the most annoying characters to fight alongside 6 paths Madara. 😭. You can even see that their chakra bars are missing while fighting them.

I think Obito’s landing animation can be a reference to when Sasuke was chasing after Danzo and Obito cut him off. It is kinda a stretch but Obito’s land was pretty majestic in that scene imo.

good argument but no, when naruto ultimate ninja storm 2 game was relased in 2010 (the game were added tobi and obito awekening) the anime was just reaching or already reach the naruto vs pain battle and not even the manga have reached the fight of sasuke vs danzo, that happened in 2011, so no

What i always found rather cool as a kid, was that in Storm 2, if you awaken as White robe Sasuke into his cursed mark form, he will strip down his white robe and it will stay down even after the awakening has run out, for thhe rest of the fight. I mean its not mindblowing but back in 2011 it seemed so cool.. Also, keep up the great work!

One of my favorite details in clash of ninja 2 is Kakashi being able to copy enemy jutsu if you time the counter right. It led to me experimenting and learning that inner Kakashi is a thing when he copies Sakura I thought it was the funniest thing ever when I first saw it.

yeah clash if ninja 2 is filled with alot of cool hidden references. like when you use rock lee's primary lotus against gaara, he will kick him into the air multiple times before doing the gale drop. also if you are playing the 4 player mode and have haku and zabuza as a team and a kakashi player on another team tries to do a fully charged raikiri on the zabuza player, haku has a secret special input (full chakra bar down X) that when timed right as kakashi is charging forward lets him teleport in front of the zabuza player as a shield.

tho i already made a comment elswhere i also thought it was cool that haku's mask falls off at low health in that game. haku was the only one in that game to have battle damage unlike the later games. its too bad they didnt do more with that till much much later.

The tobi landing animation could also be tied to the fact that the character appeared for the first time in Ninja storm 2. At the time in the anime and the manga, there was a mystery about who he really was. The whole Hobito identity had not been revealed (even tought we all knew cause Kishimoto did not hide it very well). Given that the storm games port characters from one game to the other with little to no alteration (In order to keep every version of a character playable) Tobi's entire moveset therefore becomes a reference to this Identity mystery while remaining faithfull to his first appearances in the manganime. It's not the Hobito Madara complex thing, since the dev did not know about that at the time of Storm 2 , but really just "Ok so this guy could be Madara in hiding, let's work with that"

Kishimoto not hiding the reveal very well is the understatement of the century. My entire hypothesis for why Obito was clearly Tobi was because important anime characters never change their hair. AND THEN THE MAN GOES AND MAKES A VERSION OF OBITO WITH LONG HAIR BEFORE RETURNING HIM TO HIS OBITO HAIR FOR TOBI!!! He technically completely destroyed my theory without actually destroying it at all. The madman.

I actually just finished the original and am now on episode 18 of Shippuden. I know the basic stuff and deaths and stuff because of the games, but not everything. But Tobi is still my favorite because I love Deadpool and goofy characters!

4:20 - The bit about Gaara's mother protecting him wasn't revealed until towards the end of the series, and this game came out long beforehand. That was simply his Sand Armor, a passive ability he uses in each fight where he coats his entire body in a thick but flexible layer of sand that mitigates any damage he takes. You won't know if it's on until you hit him with a particularly powerful attack at which point his "face" will fold and crack. This is made more convincing by him being able to change the color and texture of his sand to mimic anything

I feel like the Ninja Storm games are kind of keeping the Tenkaichi dreams alive (at least until that shadow dropped announcement hit lol) Not in gameplay exactly, moreso in the fact that they're content aimed squarely and almost singularly at fans. The Naruto games may not be perfect but they're full of references and details and amazing animations for people who just desperately want more of what they love, and I genuinely am so happy to see it. Budokai Tenkaichi opened the door for games to pass from Fighting game, to Dragon Ball Simulator, Ultimate Ninja Storm did something similar, Naruto (and posterior animes like KnY) went from fighting game to Shonen Simulator. Here's a fun anime fighter detail in One Piece Grand Battle on the ps2. Some stages have water, if characters who are normal humans like Zoro, Sanji, or Nami fall in the water, they will take some damage. If Devil Fruit characters like Luffy or Chopper fall in, then they take extra damage since Devil fruit users cant swim. However, if Sawtooth Arlong falls in, he will jump out of the water and attack, receiving no damage

You forgot the most important detail about Sasuke's ultimate jutsu. Right in the beggining when Sasuke gets a third tomoe in his sharingan and immediately counters the opponent's punch is a direct reference to Sasuke fully awakening the Sharingan during his final fight with Naruto in part 1

In ultimate ninja 1&2 some characters can heal themselves In ultimate ninja 1 Sakura and gaara can heal by pressing the taunt botton (which is up on the D pad) and ultimate ninja 2 Hinata and choji can do the same although in Hinata case it's one of her special moves

That's the thing about anime arena fighters, a lot of people (mostly from the FGC) might say that they all suck because they're button-mashy and they don't have deep mechanics and they all play and feel the same... but I think it's *VERY* hard to deny that they have a *LOT* of passion and love for the source material put into them clearly to make the fans happy, so I don't think they deserve to be considered "bad licensed games."

The game was way too good. And the free roam was some of the best out of any Naruto game. That "shadow dash" thing and the clone jump boost were the best things they could've added to free roam. Shame Ultimate Ninja 5 removed them. Hate how all of the Naruto games seem follow that trend. Storm 1 had brilliant movement and mechanics in free roam, only for them to slowly be removed bit by bit with each new installment. Sorry about that.😅 Didn't mean to go off on a tangent like that.

In Storm Generations, Danzo's up item (D-Pad Up) is a Sharingan symbol that gives him chakra. This is because it's intended to be his Izanagi. The reason it gives him chakra is because Storm 2 originally used chakra for substitutions, where Generations used a substitution meter. However, in the earliest demo of Storm Generations, which were the French and Japanese live demos, the game originally also had chakra-based substitutions. Another really neat detail can be found in the Clash of Ninja series where you use Young Lee's super against Young Gaara. He does an air combo before using Primary Lotus, to reference the Chunin Exams when Lee did the exact same thing to keep Gaara's sand from protecting him.

Oh, another neat detail about Clash of Ninja. Credits to Abbock for finding this, but in CoN2, 3, and 4 play a 3-player battle with Kakashi vs Haku & Zabuza. Get Kakashi and Haku to full chakra. Fully charge Kakashi's super, and then press down+X as Haku in CoN2 (Back+X in CoN3/4) before it connects with Zabuza. Not only does this reference Haku teleporting to save Zabuza in the Hidden Mist arc, but it also deals lethal damage to Haku in-game.

Also in case you do plan on making more of naruto game details do check out the jutsus of sasuke(curse mark) ,adult sasuke (compare their chidori and the chakra usage, kidomaru (curse mark), kakashi's lightning blade (try moving your analog stick after you let go of the jutsu dependeing upon the charge time you can tilt the jutsu) . (Naruto ultimate ninja 5) i spent hundreds of hours in that game I nearly noticed all of the details and references in the game. I think the part where you mention sand coming out of Gaara is a little reference to the fact that on top of his usual sand defenses. Gaara also coats his skin in sand armor as a second layer of defense. There is evidence of him using sand armor in the anime whenever he is damaged directly his skin tends to crack. I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects but honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻‍♂️☯️✌️

I know you were most likely going to get to this eventually but I cant help myself, speaking of clash of ninja lee actually has a nice attention to detail in one of his ultimate's the primary lotus when lee does the attack he kicks them into the air wraps them in his bandages and then spin piledrives them down like he did dosu in the exams. However there's one character who gets a special treatment and that's gaara when lee dose the move on him instead of just kicking him like the others he rapidly kicks gaara into the air before piledriving him like the rest as a nod to their actual fight gaara is the only one lee does this to

About hidden combos: Jirobo is not the only one. 6 paths Naruto has a pin-down ender after the fourth attack; Rock Lee has a unique ender, if you don't press the last button in down combo; Tobi has goofy stances if you don't finish Up and Down combos; lots of stuff like that, you know Also, Yugao's mask also falls over after getting hit in Gekitou Ninja Taisen.. Don't get me wrong, CC2 can do really good incredible things and ideas for the Storm games. Small details and such. Hell, Storm 4 became the highest selling anime game in history for a reason. As for the hidden combo thing, ninja war lee has one. If you do his down combo and buffer his breakdance kicks he wil do 2 downward kicks instead of the flip kicks into his axe kick

Ok here’s 3 of them in Ninja storm 4 if you used the Sexy reverse harem jutsu on Sakura, Ino, Kushina, Tsunade, Mei, Chiyo, TenTen, Karin and for some odd reason Sarada, they will all have different reactions, but if it’s with Kaguya she will get confused like she does in the show, but instead of Naruto punching her, Sauske will throw a flame blade at her. The second one is with Kushina’s ultimate “The Red-Hot Habanero” on any character she will literally punch them into the ground, but if it was Minato she will snap out of it and instead slap him into the sky. The is based on Karin’s Ultimate jutsu the “Severe Stinging Slap” if it was a other characters she would straight up slap them with an explosive tag and call them sloppy before it blows them up, however with Sauske, it’s a much different story.

Quick little sidenote regarding Gaara and his sand: Gaara covered his entire body in a shell of sand to protect himself from physical danger. During his chunin exam battle with Lee, you can see his face crumble away and reveal that it's all sand, and below it lies his actual skin. I think the sand falling off of him is more likely that than the whole mother thing, even tho it's closely related.

The PSP games used similar names to the merged Ults in 2, but they also specifically labeled the childhood flashbacks for Naruto as a special team with access to a single ninja tool.

If you use the Kimono Sasuke in the naruto, sasuke combo ult, you can see his cursemark, which shouldn't be on that version of sasuke.
