Kadence Theme Tutorial: A Practical Guide to Getting Started

Off to-pic, but I am using the Kadence Pro Theme, Shop kit 3, woocommerce, and ACF. I'd like to post a video on the product pages above the About This Product section (not in the Gallery) Could you possibly make a tutorial about the proper way to accomplish this... ? Thank you

Hi, Tom. I appreciate the idea, but I’m not the right person to help. I don’t use WooCommerce, never heard of Shop Kit 3, and I use MetaBox instead of ACF.

I couldn't find the video on blocks on your channel. You said it works with Gutenberg blocks and elementor. I'm confused on the difference between all these options

Hi, Anthony. I still need to create an overall video on Kadence Blocks, though I've shown some specific features in other videos. For example, I recently posted one about the Countdown timer in Kadence Blocks, which is one of several blocks in the package. Kadence Blocks are a type of Gutenberg Blocks. A basic set of blocks comes with WordPress, but there are 3rd party blocks from Kadence, or Spectra from Brainstorm Force, and several others. Elementor is a page builder. It's very capable, but its also very heavy and can slow down your website. Gutenberg blocks are integrated in WordPress. They're light and fast. Overall, I think that Elementor and other page builders can do more things, but at the expense of speed. Gutenberg blocks can do most of the things that page builders like Elementor can do. What they can't do is often compensated with other plugins. As a result, you can create a faster website without page builders and still have a beautiful design.

@@SuburbiaPress yeah I have thrive themes but it's bulk and slow. What's the difference between kadence blocks and Gutenberg then? I heard kadence theme is fast which is why I'm going to try it but what benefit do you get from kadence blocks instead of just using Gutenberg. Thx 4 your help BTW

The Kadence theme is definitely fast. Kadence Blocks are a type of Gutenberg blocks. There's a free version and you can upgrade to a paid version with more features. Several vendors sell 3rd party Gutenberg blocks. Beware of getting too many, though. I use Kadence Theme and Kadence Blocks because they're fast, they work well together, they do most of what I need to do, and they are relatively simple to use compared to some of their competitors. No coding needed. If I were using the Astra theme, I'd likely look at Spectra for my primary Gutenberg blocks. They're made from the same vendor and work together well. Astra is a great theme, but I found that Kadence is just a bit easier to use. I have a course on how to build a business website using Kadence and other tools. I'm also planning on teaching some live workshops for solo entrepreneurs who are building their online business platform. Let me know if you're interested in knowing more about those things.

How can I edit the H1 and title of the post type "pages" to be different in Kadence theme?

The easiest way to do it is to Disable the title and then create a new H1 on your page. I like using the Advanced Text block from Kadence, but the default Header block in WordPress will also do it. Then you can style it as you please. Just make sure there's only one H1.

Hi, Anthony Kadence Theme controls the appearance of your WordPress website overall. Kadence Blocks, or other Gutenberg blocks, are how you can create a design for your pages and posts. They work well together.

That's pretty simple. Go to Appearance and then Themes. Click "Add New Theme." In the search box, type Kadence. You'll see it in the results. Click the Install button. When complete, click the Activate button.
