I have been watching you for about 4 years now and i can honestly say that what you said in this video is definitely true it takes hard work and dedication...i also am not trained but im learning from you,willdabeast,Brain Friedman,and so many more amazing people! I will be coming to L.A in the year 2015 and i would love to meet you. You are my idol my motivation and inspiration! You keep reminding me that it is possible for a non trained dancer to make it. Its incredibly difficult but not impossible. Thank you kaelynn for all you have done for me!!!

Kaelynn wasn't trained in ballet & you can actually see that in comparison to dancers who have trained in ballet. She's a fantastic contemporary/lyrical dancer considering those facts though. She didn't take dance classes until she was like 14. She just attended dance classes(at IDA, millineum, etc) and conventions(the Pulse, etc). She was never apart of a studio. She said that her mom didn't have money to put her through dance classes, and actually her sister Ashlynn was the one who initially took dance and she would show Kaelynn what her teachers were teaching her. She has no reason to lie about not being trained. She's most definitely a self taught dancer. And successful one at that.
@MorgannEvette9 жыл бұрын
+akiah fagan but all those classes and conventions are considered "training". Formal ballet classes aren't the only forms of dance training
@akiahfagan26719 жыл бұрын
+Morgann Evette I think that actual ballet classes are considered "formal training" bc when you're at conventions, the teachers aren't going to take the time to explain to you what a tondo or an attitude is.. they just do it and you have to mirror it regardless of whether you're doing it correctly or not. You learn as you go and I can say this bc that's the situation I'm in. And if I don't know it, later I get in KZbin and search it. The environment at a convention is completely different from that of a technical training class such as ballet.
@akiahfagan26719 жыл бұрын
+Morgann Evette and I just reread your comment and realized you said that ballet classes aren't the only form of training. My mistake. But yeah, that's true. But I think she was just trying to make a point. You don't have to take regular dance classes to be good at what you wanna do. You can use KZbin, take the occasional class, go to the occasional convention, & learn from the best.

Omg kk I love how different you are, and your creativity is such an exploding difference in the dance community (for me atleast ) its so bold & you attack it so clean and add flavor to it...and its so amazing for ex. baby qah! Its so creative & different and fun to do and extremely addictive lol.. I honestly didn't think anyone could come up with something like that to that type of song, and its extremely inspiring! Anyway, I love you & the two at the end were amazing 😊

Maybe i am just like kaelynn cause ummm yeah a lot of dancing skills came from movies like You Got Served and Bring It On(because im a cheerleader too) and Step Up and just about any other dance movie you can think and most definitely youtube . Watching my favorite dance videos whether its from actual music videos or choreographers 1000+ times just to somewhat mimick what they're doing and then adding my own twist and making myself feel like im doing something with my dancing and watching it improve every time i learn a new dance. Its truly amazing to know that someone you idolize started off the same way you did . Gives me hope that i can be as big as her if not bigger . @kaelynnharris you are inspirational .
