Kyuho surprised me on Wednesday and bought me some 떡 (rice cakes), which are my favorite Korean snacks! He also cooked a healthy meal for us, and it was deliciousss!
Some of you asked about what Korean parents think about their children dating/marrying foreigners, so we decided to talk about this at the end of this week’s video.

I remember my son being nervous about meeting his Korean girlfriends parents for the first time, this was after they had been dating for over a year. As you said, dating foreigners in Korea is not encouraged, its even frowned upon. Whoever, they were very accepting of him. They were married in Seoul last year and they now call him their son. I remember visiting him not long after he moved to Korea and how sad I felt leaving him there by himself as I headed back to Scotland. Coming home this time was so different, safe in the knowledge that he has a lovely wife and a new Korean family who genuinely love him and have accepted him as their son.

+amc3 that's lovely! i'm married to a japanese man, and my mom feels the same. she is so relieved and grateful that i have my japanese family that accepts me as their own. when we go out for lunch or shopping for food, my mom-in-law always tells everybody i'm "uchi no yome" (hard to translate precisely, basically means "my daughter in law" but sounds warmer than that), and she seems so proud, it always moves me. :)

I don't know if it's just me but I really enjoy watching your videos because your guises relationship seems really warm and open I don't know how to explain it well but when I watch other foreigner and asian relationship the guy always seems to be really distant and I understand that it's because in asian countries men aren't as open as in other countries , but when I watch you guys it's really enjoyable because it doesn't make me cringe all the time because sometimes I feel like us foreigners might be too loud or annoying to them . but for some reason when I watch you guys it seems like a really balanced relationship and i could easily tell the connection between you too. You guys seem more real if that's a better way to put it lol.With that said you guys are my fav asian / foreign couple :) 😄

I know Korea is growing with more foreigners and interracial dating in the culture, but it's refreshing and inspiring to see an interracial couple surpass dating and take their relationship further through marriage. 6 yrs later and watching this, put the onions in the refrigerator for awhile before cutting them.

I learned the best way to cut onions is to peel and cut the ends off of the o ion and rice the onion with cold water for about a minute. This neutralizes the "onion juice" and you will not cry when cutting onions.

Before chopping up an onion, you should remove the outer brown layer, then rinse the onion in cold water. This helps in resolving your problem about your eyes tearing up. You look like a happy and lovely couple.

You may want to stir fry the onions after the garlic ... because unless you like raw onion... taking the time to cook off the onion will dry out that precooked chicken breast :)

+Grace Serena Christie Haha, it's quite the opposite actually. Korea's birthrate is incredibly low; even lower than Japan's if I remember correctly. The country is aging fast. The government is desperately trying to encourage people to have more children, but they have been failing miserably.
