It sucks that the machine is damaged. I think that It is your responsibilty to check whatever you receive while the truck is still there. If you didn't check it then it is kind of on you. I have several friends and people I do business with that own Kaeser's and they speak highly of them.

I have products shipped to me often, and the companies that I appreciate are the ones who guarantee what they ship will be delivered in the allotted time and most importantly, in the same brand new condition as it was when it was quality checked and made ready to ship. I notice the companies that have damaged goods, aren't managing their shipping dept. well (or at all). It's always a case of not caring about doing the best job for the customer - thinking short-term. Bottom line: Bad Management

That sucks. I have had a SX6 model for 10 years now. They are the best, but IF I received it like this I will be driving it back to them. Sorry to hear about this. This will make me think twice now when I go to buy a new one.

Shame on Keaser....they care about selling the products and NOT about the final customer satisfaction. For them to fix it wouldn't be that expensive...! Thanks for charing your experience.

Shipping is always a problem and we have changed freight companies several times because of the cowboy forklift drivers that load/unload trucks - Sorry about the problems with Kaeser

Wow, its been 8 years and I bet it still hurts. You should of never backed down on the video. Your purchase is your purchase. In am totally curious as to what has been going on with the project.

The only person you have to blame for your damaged compressor is yourself. Your compressor was obviously dropped and not damaged by a box. It is your responsibility to check for damage caused by the trucking company before they leave. Instead of blaming Kaeser, look in the mirror.

Whenever items are shipped, Kaeser, Sears, Ebay, or Amazon, it's the customers responsibility to check contents before accepting. Can you return a Car when you notice a ding on the fender after driving for 30 days? How about a refrigerator when you notice a door scratch 30 days after accepting the delivery? Get real!

Kaeser insures all the shipments in Europe until unloading at customer's site. Is it same in US?

That sucks... glad I ended up going with a DV Systems compressor.

I'm not sure I understand the situation exactly and I'm not trying to argue but I did hear you say that you let it sit for 30 days in that case all the repairs would have been completely out of pocket for Kaeser. The proper way to receive equipment is to unload it, inspect it while the driver is still there and if any damage is seen for the driver to notate it on the paper work if he refuses then you should refuse the shipment. It's sounds like you just accepted it signed it indicating there wasn't any damage and were surprised 30 days later when you took the cover off. Seems like a reasonable response from Kaeser IMO.

Could be the shipper at fault. Hidden freight damage is pretty common. Don't know about limitations of time...

I can assure you if I bought an expensive item like an air compressor, and it came in with concealed damage, I too would be upset with the manufacturer and expect some form of help. For crying out loud, rather than send me a goofy email how about share the repair expense with me? How about treating the customer like someone you want to work with for the next 10 years...instead of just running away from the problem. That is just crappy customer service

This is an unacceptable attitude from Kaeser. Outrageous. Did you get a refund or replacement? I expect that when potential buyers do their research and find this post, it gives them pause.

It sure seems to me that the packaging from Kaesar was entirely inadequate. A unit like that should ship in a full wood skid with steel strapping and heavy nylon zip ties. Yes, it's mostly the shipping company's fault. But if Kaeser is expecting all their products to ship by Limousine, that's absurd. Packaging has to be able to withstand normal rough and tumble of ground transit. G5

Pretty much a load of customer service bullshit here. I am in the inlfatable survival equipment business so compressors are critical to my operation. Guess I know what compressor not to purchase next.

Looks like you just pissed away some big money on what is possibly the most over rated, expensive to buy, and expensive to maintain air compressors ever imported into the USA

Sorry to hear about your damaged shipment, it sucks! BUT, it was your responsibility to check the shipment prior to signing for it. I don't think it's fair that you bash Kaeser, when it was more likely the shipper and you clearly are upset (as I would be), but this falls on you and some accountability to check your purchase when received. Sorry, but that's how I see it.

Sounds like a bunch of company reps on here, trying to get our of providing actual customer service! If YOU (the company) send a $9800 compressor in a cardboard box, and it becomes damaged, you can't then later claim that it isn't possible for the compressor to be damaged in a cardboard box! Why wasn't it better PROTECTED from the factory? Seriously - incredible! And to "Douglas Woelk", what the hell? Did you NOT watch the video at all? He clearly states that it was NOT in use for 30 days, so your stupid scenario about "driving a car for 30 days" is not only ill conceived, but completely irrelevant. I agree with the op, the company should assist in any way possible - IF they stand behind their PACKAGING and most importantly product!

This is where the fool fucked up, by not opening it for 30 days he lost both his and Keaser's right to file a shipping claim. NEVER sign for anything you don't inspect and check. When you sign that paper you are saying to everyone involved, what you sent me got here OK, and I accept it. Once you sign for it and do not note that it is damaged that it is damaged on the shippers invoice......Your done. Anything past that is your problem. Hell he could have dropped it off a fork lift moving it around the shop in the box and holler it was damaged in shipping. Where does he figure ANY OF THIS is Kaeser';s fault.
@chrisvasey719 жыл бұрын
Sounds like sour grapes. No one wants to hold themselves accountable these days. Common sense would have been to inspect the equipment upon arrival so any damage could be noted on the bill-of-lading and a claim with the freight company could be filed. I'm sorry,but waiting 30 days to even look at it and then posting a KZbin video is just dumb.
@randywhite64688 жыл бұрын
Looks to me like the shipper is who you should be talking to. I would tell you the same thing. It left here in new condition, if it got damaged on the way, then you need to talk to the people that were responsible for taking care of it while it was in transit. Why in the hell do you feel like Kaeser should fix it. They didn't tear it up, and by waiting to open the box, you lost any right you had for either you or Kaeser to file a claim with the shipper. I swear it must really be easy to make money in business today, because anyone stupid enough to think the manufacturer is responsible for something damaged in transit is just beyond words. MY GOD MAN....Let me help out here dude. What was the name on the side of the truck that delivered your box..... OK that is who you have a problem with, not Kaeser. You will be lucky if they don't file suit on you.... I know I damn sure would. Anyone this ignorant has no business in business...... Good Luck...
