Back in the 1990s I came across your wonderful book Glorious Knitting. Finally there was another being on the planet who loved colour and pattern as much as I do. In it you said, Any colours will go together, you just have to use enough of them! or something to that effect. That book allowed me to totally embrace my colour/pattern passion and I have never looked back. Thank you.

Thank you Kaffe for all that you do! I have always loved bright colors and I now dont care what people think of my bright stuff and collections! I am who I am and I dont care what anyone else thinks! At 58 years old I am too old to play it safe! My life will be over before I know it and I'm going to enjoy color till the day I die!!

Love your fabric! The first time I saw it I freaked out, I had to know what it was. I got my degree in fine art, photography. Your work speaks to me on all levels. Thank you!

My friend purchased your book and took it home and enjoyed it, but was going to return it the next day, as she really couldn't justify spending the money on it. We were sitting in the car and she showed me this book. I was instantly taken with it. Love, love, love your uninhibited use of colour and materials. I immediately purchased it from her. I must say that I have rarely enjoyed an art book so much. It is such an inspiration to me. I am a senior (almost 72) who has enjoyed and dabbled in art all my life. I am so inspired to make more art. My other favourite is New York fashion and designer. Iris Apfel. She is still going strong at 101! I hope that you are blessed with the same longevity and are able to produce your endless creative endeavors forever! I have stayed up late into the night reading every word. Thank you Kaffe.

This book is a wonderful jumping off point for anyone who is color shy. Itching to get started. Yes, I've always been afraid of getting it wrong. I want to let go and surround myself with rich, saturated color. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of color and patterns with us. 🌹

Even though I can't say I'm a fabulous knitter or quilter or needle point worker ugh! The list could get tiringly (is that a word?) long. However, I do consider myself a colourist, I manipulate paint of most varieties, I crochet, weave, make proggy rugs, and there's even a splatter of sewing that goes on. I love colour, I don't own one of those little black dresses because I prefer colours, life for me would get awfully dull if I wore black all the time, and life wasn't meant to be beige either, my life trail is full of lumps and bumps and ups and downs, and every single one has colour! I'm so glad I came across your video, and I'm going to find your book and add it to my Kaffe Fassett collection, thank you for sharing, your book has already given me ideas to pursue while I watch our Tasmanian winter slowly fade into spring. Cheers!

at least 25 years ago i ordered a custom made sofa and love seat in dark teal with fushia small stripes, it was finally delivered, we moved 2 months later and the movers lost the cushions ! then my husband said, I never liked the colors…..I knew I would never have tired of those colors, I couldn’t believe he found it loud and annoying, I found is warm and soothing….so now I have all off white furniture and my bold colors are in pillows and throw, i could listen to Kaffe and Brandon for hours….I may get this book because I wanted to stare at the colors.

Listening to you try and peel the reason color evokes such reactions from people reminds me of a favorite painting. Madame X with her elegance created a scandal. Her skin tones! Difficult as that may seem today where we bare all usually with far less affect. In my life I can only recall one time where color had such power over me. It was Central Park in New York, I think Gay Pride Day, and walking home through the park hundreds of women and many topless in a show of strength. In the mass one woman with a statuesque figure passed by. But her skin was flawless, alabaster, porcelain! She was so magnificent I turned my head not to stare. She alone in my over 60 years evokes such reaction. But I learned how color evokes sometimes uncontrollable emotions.

Hehe, I'm a bit of a recovering minimalist myself. COVID has made me realize a sterile white and black house is an awful place to take refuge. :D I do feel afraid of color, even in my clothes. Meanwhile, my favorite colors as a kid were "rainbow" and "gold".

I’m a bit careful with colour, however, some years ago I purchased a new sofa and matching love seat. Being careful to have a neutral (taupe) sofa, I decided to have the love seat made up in a colour called SPICE, like paprika it livens up the living room.

Škoda, když jsem byla školou povinná, jsme se učili jen cizí jazyk ruštinu. Kombinace barev v knize překrásné, ale obraz za přednášejícím fascinující. 🤗

I love bright colours and You’re fabrics...I have theory you specially use colour combos of poisonous plants, dangerous animals, combos that make us look more than twice, triggers our instincts of survival, like some butterflies, fishes show us to don’t eat them or some snakes to stay away and don’t step on them..must recognise on me they work in a way that I just can’t simply pass buy and it’s all about colour and values, contrast.Frankly only expensive fabrics (for me) I really fancy and want to get hold off one day... I also do art and have many colourful paintings I would love to turn into fabrics to use in my quilts and textile arts and you’re fabrics inspire me to play around more bravely with colour palettes and I hope one day I too will create some ,,poisonous,, looking, eye braking fabrics, who also won’t allow anyone to pass buy in a shop without emotions... So yeah, absolute fan of you’re fabrics and colour, colour scheme you use in most combos are totally my taste..I’m just afraid now that if I use them to create my fabrics, some people will say I copied you’re style...When to me it’s more like You copied natures way of alarm into fabrics and it just happens to be that We have quite similar taste for bright, contrasting, neon looking fabrics and art Love most of you’re patterns of fabrics, but still can’t wait to see what else you are going to come up with..My favourites are feathers and flowers(not so keen on tiny and more simple patterns, but totally get they are needed in quilt also, keeps same colour scheme and gives more variation for blocks) so yeah, waiting for more complex and big patterns like my favourite ones. You’re work inspires me a lot and I get loads of pleasure just looking at them.Love,Love,Love you’re fabrics,to me,best there is in market! 💗💐💗💐💗💐💗💐💗💐💗💐💗

Traditional clothes are very coloreful and lively. Traditional patterns do not stand emptiness in background and are filled with ornaments. I wondered, why I like knitting and stitching and can't stop on one craft. Because of color, maybe.

How is colour threatening?? 🤷‍♀️ I don't know... but without colour and pattern, there would be no artists, right? 😉
